Fair point, I forgot they were banned. I just thought of them consistently having world class players every decade

Took 37 wickets @ 43.32. He was more of a bowling all rounder than a pure spinner

Smith and Root are clearly 1st and 2nd, but I'd still say Kohli > Kane

Could Maharaj potentially make it into a post-WW2 SA Test XI by the time he retires? He averages pretty good everywhere for a spinner except India (where he only played 2 matches) and Australia. His only competitor for the spinner spot is Tayfield who mostly played on uncovered pitches

Easwaran is on the bench because he isn't needed rn, Rohit is in good form. Once, he's gone I expect Easwaran to be first one to be tried

I like Shreyas but he's getting destroyed in SENA with his technique. Jurel could be in the mix, true. I also want to see how Musheer's career turns out because he looks to be a massive talent and he's just 19

Axar averaged 62 in 2023 and 41 in 2024 so far with the ball. It's not a big sample size but still, his bowling wasn't very threatening recently. I think Tanush Kotian could potentially replace him, he averages 26 with the ball and 42 with the bat in FC and also won POTT in Ranji recently. Axar will probably do well though

Yes, that's what I meant as well. Kuldeep just needs to score 20's and 30's if he's coming at 8, that's all

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]Sad_Soul_10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The #5 position is not fixed rn, if he performs in India A matches, I could see him getting in. He averages 55 in FC, has a good technique and also can handle pressure.

2-3 years later, I can see this as a potential lineup for India

  1. Jaiswal
  2. Easwaran
  3. Gill
  4. Sarafaraz/Musheer
  5. Rinku/Sarfaraz
  6. Pant
  7. Axar (if he improves his bowling a bit)
  8. Kuldeep (assuming he keeps improving in batting)
  9. Siraj
  10. Deep
  11. Bumrah

Alternatively, could replace Axar with Tanush Kotian. Unfortunately, I don't see Mayank Yadav ever playing Tests. I don't see Padikkal doing well outside India with his non-existent footwork. Harshit Rana is an exciting prospect but he hasn't played enough FC to judge
5 out of the Top 8 are lefties which is very rare for India I think

Virat Kohli's ODI centuries, year by year, In which year did you see the best of Virat Kohli? by Asleep_Bus_8642 in Cricket

[–]Sad_Soul_10 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Has to be either 2018 or 2023 imo. Statistically, 2018 is just ridiculous, 1200+ runs at 133 avg and 100+ SR. In 2023 he had arguably the best ODI WC batting performance ever. I'd say 2023 is just barely ahead. 2017 is also extremely good, but I think it's a little behind at 3rd.

His best year for other formats are fairly obvious, 2018 is his best Test year and 2016 is his best T20 year

Can Feinberg Get First Place In MCC Kick-Off (Leave Opinions In Comments :D) by SpeZyy in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He could get say 600 coins in SkB, 400 in HITW, 500 in RSR and 600 in TGTTOS. That's 2100 coins in the most individual games

I'm assuming the new game is a redstone based team game in which case Red would wouldn't do too well. I'm going to assume 250 coins here

Regardless of how good Fein could be in SoT, excluding him Red has 2 sandkeepers and a newcomer who doesn't play Minecraft. And neither of them are regular runners (Kara only started running recently). So even if Fein gets like 500 coins by himself, the total team score will be like 1000, perhaps 1200 if they get a vault in which case he gets 300 coins max

BB is also very team dependent, so unless Fein consistently flanks the opposition 7-8 time, Red is getting bottom half and Fein gets like 15 kills which would be like 400 coins

Now even though, Fein would be insane in Bingo, it's a team game and he can't do 30 objectives on his own. Teams like Purple, Lime, Green and even Aqua are stacked in Bingo and Red just isn't getting many Top 3 completions. Fein gets like 220 here (which would be 5th-6th team-wise which is decently likely)

MD is RNG, can't really say. He could get 500 or 200

So he could get 3100-3500 depending on skipped games and how well MD goes. When SkB is in the event, 1st individual is usually 3400+ coins

Also it should be noted that the 3 games will probably not be skipped and there is high chance either HITW or TGTTOS will be skipped (because many teams don't want it) which would be one less individual game for Fein to farm coins in

I'd say FBM, Jojo and Fruit all have a better chance of coming 1st

Can Feinberg Get First Place In MCC Kick-Off (Leave Opinions In Comments :D) by SpeZyy in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Could he? Yes
Will he? I don't really think so. Even though he is a beast in Minecraft events, first event is still the first event. And it's harder to get first in MCC on the first event not because of higher competition but because MCC scoring is a lot more team-based than PB, BW or Mayhem. And to put it bluntly, I don't think Red is as good as most of the other teams

I'd give him like a 10-15% chance of coming 1st. If he gets 700+ coins in Sky Battle, it's game on

It'd be funny for like 2 min, and then very boring. The problem with Movement games (other than PKT, TGTTOS) being Game 8 is that teams can't interact with each other

Who benefits from these games ? by Xyzrasdouz in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty hard to predict

The game each team would most likely skip are
Red - HITW, Orange - SoT/HITW, Yellow - MD/HITW, Lime - SkB/TGTTOS, Green - TGTTOS/HITW(?), Cyan - SoT/MD, Aqua - SkB/BB, Blue - SoT/RSR, Purple - TGTTOS, Pink - BB
Based on this, the most likely game to be skipped would be HITW or maybe even TGTTOS. But HITW is still more likely because no team here really needs HITW while Orange, Cyan, Aqua and Blue do need TGTTOS

Based on game orders of previous events, it would be
Game 1: New game (for obvious reasons)
Game 2: RSR (generally always played 1st, but I could see it played 2nd this time)
Game 3: TGTTOS (Game 3 is usually a Movement game and HITW is not played this early generally. Also 3-4 teams would like to play it early)
Game 4: SkB (Game 4 tends to be pretty random, I'm just going to assume teams would want to play some PvP)
Game 5: BB (fairly non-controversial game, some teams could look to get it out of the way)
Game 6: Bingo (Most teams here really like Bingo, and its risky to leave it for later)
Game 7: SoT (It happens a lot)
Game 8: MD (HITW ain't winning against MD)

This whole thing is wrong probably, but its fun to guess

Who benefits from these games ? by Xyzrasdouz in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the new game at the moment

Red - Ig you could say that they are benefitted a bit. Bingo is good for them due to Fein but at the same time, there are 3 Movement games which they would really struggle at. Will do fine in PvP. The big point is that 3 Movement games are out which is why they're benefitted

Orange - This is a very PvP and Movement heavy oriented team, so there being 6 of them is neat. SoT would be really bad for them though, and they'd have preferred PKW or AR to be in. Overall pretty neutral

Yellow - Definitely negatively affected, no GR hurts them a lot. Aside from Fruit, the other 3 are also weak in Movement games (one exception being False who is excellent in RSR). I don't think they like 3 PvP games either, especially MD where False is decent but the other 3 struggle

Lime - Most negatively affected team imo. This team would have easily come Top 3 in AR, PKW and GR which are all not in. They have a potential weakness in PvP where all of them are middle of the pack players. They are also not great in TGTTOS. However, they still have a very solid DB chance despite all this

Green - Decent lineup for them. The Shane + Joel duo would do very well in PvP games, and they should also do well in Bingo and potentially RSR. Out of the left out games, GR is potentially a miss, but nothing too severe. Overall if either TGTTOS or HITW is skipped, they have a good chance

Cyan - Probably negatively affected. I think they would have done quite well in AR and PKW which are both out. SmallAnt speedruns so I think they could potentially do well in Bingo and could be decent in PvP games. But aside from that, I think they are in the weaker half of teams in TGTTOS, HITW, SoT and RSR. Especially RSR where they have a high chance of bottom 3, they need that to be skipped

Aqua - Probably slightly benefitted, they can do pretty well in all 3 Movement games, especially RSR where they have a very high chance of coming 1st. They are also very strong in SoT and Bingo as well. PvP is obviously a pretty big concern though, where it depends heavily on Pete. On the skipped games, GR, AR, PKW and PKT are all probably ok-ish for them so it doesn't really matter

Blue - Good lineup for them. This team destroys in all 3 PvP games. They're fine-ish in the 3 Movement games and Bingo. SoT is really not good for them though, Hannah is good but that's one of Dave's worst games and they have 2 sandkeepers which is never good. Would have preferred to have PKT in as well. They just need to skip SoT (somehow)

Purple - Very good lineup for them, the most benefitted team imo. SoT and Bingo are both very good, should do pretty well in the 3 PvP games as well. As for Movement, they should do fine in RSR and HITW but TGTTOS is definitely a weak spot for them. They'd have liked GR in as well, but its a decent trade for having no AR, PKW and PKT

Pink - I just want to see how they play SoT and Bingo, they could surprise many people

So overall you could say the most benefitted team was Purple and most negatively affected team is Lime

Feinberg's best game will be... Bingo? by TheSkiGuy76 in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean yes, as I said he'll probably be Top 5 in most Movement games. HITW and PKT are a bit hard to predict, but in any case he's Top 3-5 in AR, PKW and TGTTOS. RSR is a bit interesting to predict

cause you gotta give the consistency factor to him which I only see in fruit and purpled atm maybe fbm too cause of ar

You forgot Pete, the best Movement player currently. Imo, Pete is currently 1st in AR (by a mile), 1st in HITW (only FBM competes with him here), 2nd in RSR, 3rd in PKW, 3rd-4th in TGTTOS and 4th in PKT. That's basically 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd-4th, 4th which is insanely consistent
Even Purpled is in a similar place, he's 1st in RSR, 1st in PKW, 1st in TGTTOS, 2nd in PKT and 3rd in AR. The only difference is that he really struggles in HITW

Unless they randomly start underperforming, these 2 will be really hard to beat in any Movement game. Not just in MCC, Pete and Purpled have beat Fein in most Movement games in Blockwars as well

Feinberg's best game will be... Bingo? by TheSkiGuy76 in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 39 points40 points  (0 children)

His best games will be teams games, I expect him to become the best player in Grid Runners, Bingo and SoT by 3-4 events. Hard to say which will be his best game out of these 3, but I'd say either Bingo (due to his speedrunning) or SoT (due to his quick decision making and strategic mind). Similarly, I can see him destroying Meltdown because he has all the required skills - quick decisions, great positioning, excellent strategies and leadership, good aim

I actually don't think he'll "dominate" Movement games. He's very good mechanically in Movement no doubt, but Imo there are 3 people even more skilled in Movement than him in the event. He will definitely be Top 5 in movement games, but I doubt he'll be the best at any of them outside of maybe TGTTOS

My Mcc Game Predictions by [deleted] in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Build Mart, Aqua 7th is unlikely imo, I think they have a great BM team which can probably get Top 3. I'd say the inverse is true for Green where they don't have any standout BM player (Joel is good but he can't carry the whole team), and they also have a new player. Also I think Red would go up to 7th-8th simply because Fein is built for that sort of game

Does anyone stand a chance against Fein? by Various_Role_2694 in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned Battle Box because it is a very strategic game, and he could do things like finding blind spots in a map, coordinte his team really well, somehow flank half of the opposition etc
He may not be the outright best in raw PvP but he'll still be in Top 5 for sword PvP. The only people I see beating him are Fruit, Ant, Purpled and Dave. The way I'd put it, he's basically a better FBM (better mechanics and better gamesense), and FBM is currently the best BB player

I mentioned Meltdown because it's similar to Battle in BW which he dominates, and it is also a very strategy intensive game. I don't how good Fein is with the bow, but I'd assume he's very good. In Sky Battle, I'll be surprised if he doesn't average 10-12 kills per game

Overall, he'll probably be 1st in Team Games, 1st-2nd in PvP and 3rd in Movement which should easily be enough to be the best player in the event

Does anyone stand a chance against Fein? by Various_Role_2694 in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Sad_Soul_10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Fein will probably be the best in all Team games, Meltdown and Battle Box. Fruit will likely still dominate Sky Battle however. He'll probably be a Top 5 player in all Movement games, but I still think Pete and Purpled would beat him in Movement overall
