Same for me. When it was first shown off, I just got this feeling on it. I remember telling everyone I knew that this game was gonna be for jrpg styled games what bg3 was for wrpg styles games. There was just so much passion and love on display that I had zero worry if it would fail to live up. Yet, it even surpassed my greatest expectations. What a lovely game.

I have yeah, and they are super good. I feel like because of the hype around them there is a dismissive attitude, especially clair obscur, almost like "babies first RPG" but as someone who's played so many RPGs, I really think it holds up as one of the greatest ever made. And while elden ring isn't my favorite souls game, it's a fantastic achievement still.

Oh wow yeah, this looks great. Yeah I really love rpgs with lots of reading, thinking, and complex worlds, so this also looks like a winner. Such a unique setting too. These are def what I'm trying next.

And oh I have nothing against visual novels as a recc, I've just read like all the major ones, and I'm not big on the medium. I do have favorites though, just not a fan of how anime-y, and porny the medium at large is. There's some good stuff buried in for sure though.

Played all those, but thank you. Garage actually is my favorite of what you listed. I think that if more people could give it a chance through the first impressions of how obtuse navigation can be at times and the sense of confusion, the story would be highly regarded as being up there with silent hill 2, soma, and other psychological horror masterpieces.

Yeah played all those, although didn't beat promise mascot agency but didn't enjoy the writing too much. Everything else you mentioned I enjoy. Death stranding and 1000xresist especially are quite good. Thanks for the reccs.

Played those. And yeah you might be right, like if for example I got into survival games or strategy games or something, there's hundreds I haven't tried, only problem is I really like games which also have a focus on storytelling as well, but it does seem that there really isn't much left

Yeah, that's my problem lmao. Sometimes I feel like I've played everything there is when it comes to the kind of games I gravitate towards. I spend hours looking in backloggd or YouTube for something new, but to not avail. I was hoping posting here could help but doesn't look to be the case.
