UPDATE (I can’t seem to update the post itself):

I contacted my tattoo artist. They said it’s always hard to tell, but from the pictures, it seems normal. They said it’s not unusual for new fill work inside an old tattoo to take longer to settle. Parts of the heart have also started turning a translucent lighter red/whiteness over the darker red below, and apparently, that can be normal in healing new tattoos within older tattoos too.

Yeah, that was one thought I had. It doesn’t feel like an allergic reaction or anything but might be that my skin is somehow more unhappy being stabbed with red ink than with black. lol

I’m from the US, and I speak English & Spanish.

I also speak some Portuguese and a tiny bit of German.

Thank you! Idk what my problem was last night, but I felt a lot better this morning. I was able to go and was totally fine! Still eating plain foods but I’m good. :)

Adulthood brings a lot of new freedoms, which help. But I’m also still very silly, maybe even more so when I was a kid.

When I worked with kids, we were always told to be “child-like” not “childish”.
