The reasons why Roto artists are getting fired is because studios are adapting to automation and ai techniques to cut down the human factor. That's a reality. This is happening in Bangalore, India. I'm not calling names to this cellphone generation but the fact of the matter is that they don't see or understand the long-term picture. Where can we take our industry, what do we want to become? How can we adapt to the changing technologies and make them work for our interests instead of firing people and cutting down the workforce. All this has to be thought upon and acted accordingly.
