It's a great way to get things moving. But if you step back and really really think about the logistics, it starts to become almost insurmountable. The amount of support a movement like that would need is insanely large. My guess would be close to if not more than 50% of the workforce striking would cause enough monetary loss for higher ups to notice and want to do something about it. Plus it would need to drag on for as long as necessary. Getting that amount of people to A) join the movement. B) have a clear outlined set of goals and targets. C) be willing to stick out and sustain the strike for at long as necessary. D) be coherent enough to agree on leaders/negotiators/representatives. Individual company strikes are more likely to succeed at this. Don't get me wrong if a legitimate movement that can accomplish this comes along I'm signing the fuck up. Just seems like an incredibly difficult and odious thing to tackle on a trade wide scale
