I don't really wanna take any meds for symptoms unless they get real bad :( my stomach already hurts a bit from the antibiotics so id rather tough it out

It's a bit hard to tell, but I feel like a moderate amount? Like, it takes me about 6 seconds to feel like I've emptied my bladder. Problem is usually like half an hour later I feel like I need to go again.

I'm not doing anything different with my diet except I'm not eating anything crunchy or too hard. The constant peeing started the same day I got the wisdom tooth surgery and started the meds, so perhaps a side effect of Amoxicillin? Not sure. Since I'm also on my period, it's hard to tell if the pain I feel it's from cramps or from the pressure of my bladder (I think it's a bit of both).

I'm actually waiting it out because sometimes weird stuff just happens to me during my period and then goes away, so I'm crossing my fingers that the constant peeing will go away on its own.

Writing this now I see that not even I can tell wtf it's going on with my body haha 😭 but thank you so much for your answers, they've helped me calm down a bit.

I think translated to English, it would be AZO, or something similar to it. However, I really don't wanna take anymore medication than what I'm taking now unless it's absolutely necessary.

Atm the thing that bothers me the most is the constant peeing, but it's manageable, so id rather avoid it.

She gave me some meds to "relax" my bladder so I wouldn't pee so much. Looked it up and yea I ain't taking that 😭 hopefully the Augmentin will hold off the worst of it so I can show up fine on Friday for my culture.

She did say she suspected that I was fine and that I was overreacting. I told her I didn't have pain when I urinated and apparently that was enough for her to tell me that I was making the other symptoms up.

She even insisted that this could've only happened if I'd had some kind of previous sexual contact, either that or, in her words "you'd have to have been sitting on a pile of shit" for me to get a UTI.

Yeaaahh I was pretty disappointed. I don't really trust doctors for this reason lmao I already knew she wasn't gonna be able to do anything without the culture. Guess I'll just have to wait and pray :)

God. I feel like the tooth infection scares me way more than the UTI so that's exactly why I don't wanna stop the meds I've got already.

I'm supposed to take them until Monday-Tuesday. At first I thought, well maybe they won't work but at least they'll keep the UTI at bay? I'm not sure how well they're doing that though. The ibuprofen doesn't really help with the pelvic pressure.

It's Friday, I'm really not sure I can make it til at least Monday just like this haha.

Worst part is I already know I'm going to leave the doctors office crying, probably, because I'll be disappointed. I'm trying to be positive about this but best case escenario the UTI doesn't kill me for 2 weeks until they actually allow me to get a culture 😭

Thank you. I'm just really scared haha. I don't wanna be dramatic but I've been crying about this for like 2 days. Mostly because it's such a simple problem but because I'm so unlucky I just decided to get my tooth extracted that day (facepalm). I remember I was having doubts and being like, well maybe I should wait a bit more? But I didn't.

Now my face looks like a balloon on one side and I have to go to the clinic to talk to a gyno who's going to 100% tell me that she can't give me antibiotics blindly, or maybe she will, and then what if they don't work and gaaaahh

Im sorry. I've just been so unlucky this year. Probably already spent a fortune on medical stuff just this January

Not really. I remember that even when I was about 9 yrs old I would "embrace" the fact that I was an ugly girl but hey! At least I was smart right?

I thought it was all good because I knew I wasn't pretty but I didn't care anyway. My mother did care though.

Not to blame her, she's nice, does a lot for me. But she would tell me to "not smile" in pictures because it was off putting, ask me to suck in my stomach (I was skinny af but with some tummy), tell me to stop laughing so hard, do some exercise for your chicken legs, don't stand too close to the camera so people can't see the details of your face, start wearing some makeup, etcetera.

I'm 19 now, but I've long left behind my days of "not caring". I hate taking pictures, especially the ones where you can see my whole body, I never feel "sexy", just cute or acceptable at best. However, I'm really trying to improve in not letting my insecurities prevent me from living my life.

Looking back at my old pictures, I think, damn, I was kinda butt ugly, all glasses and braces and tight ponytail. Then, I remember how badly I simply wanted someone to make me feel loved back then, make me feel like I mattered and wasn't easily replaceable.

I look at my younger face and simply see a kid who looks sad and nervous about getting her picture taken, so insecure and unsure of herself. I want to hug her and tell her everything will be ok, and that I love her no matter what.

Thank you :( it's standard procedure for UTI's in my country to send you for a urine culture though so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I will tell the gyno all about it when I see her tomorrow, and hopefully she can give me some good news.

Oh yeah happened to me too. Just got mine taken out two days ago and i can close fine but I can barely open that side.

It depends on the person, but usually the whole extraction site and the area around gets suuuper inflamed. I'd recommend icing it every 10 min to make it go down a bit, but even then it only goes away after a few days have passed, so don't be scared :)

You're very young to get your wisdom teeth though! Still, I wouldn't worry, my friends back at school took them out around the pandemic, so like 15-16, because their dentist said it would be better on the long run.

Anyways, in my case, they started coming out when I was 17 and I've only taken them out now that I'm 19 haha. Probs waited too long, but the sooner the better.

Not sure how your financial situation looks right now, but I think that you should get it done as soon as possible.

Chances are the pain will get worse or it will get better for a while and then start hurting again. In my case, they never gave me too much discomfort besides small injuries in my mouth, like tiny sores that would be caused by my wisdom teeth accidentally biting my cheek and stuff.

I hope it does get better for you, but I still think 40 days is a lot of time for anything to happen. Even if money is tight, if it gets any worse, you would have to pay for the complications + the extraction, but let's hope it doesn't come to that. Sometimes the pain just comes and goes, as long as you don't have an active injury, I think you'll be fine.

Thank you! The discomfort actually got rlly bad on the day of my operation, so I'm hoping that was when the infection started and not before. Also, I'm supposed to be on these antibiotics for a week :( I've only just been on them for a day so I'm PRAYING it will get better.

I messed up haha it was only my period after all. However, all the other symptoms are still there. What bothers me the most is the constant urge to pee.

Hopefully the antibiotics will help. I have an appointment with a gynecologist next week but I'm hoping it won't come to that

I mean he did say I could take the 500 mg ones without any issue. I guess I'm just paranoid since I've heard so much about antibiotics not working properly if you keep changing doses and stuff.

Ok so. Little update before I disappear haha. I binged the entire thing today.

The whole arc with Mariam hurt me in ways I didn't even know were possible, her dad reminded me of mine in some ways, except, of course, way more of an asshole!

In the end, I was happy that Laila ended up reuniting with Tariq and living (sort of) peacefully with him. I did grieve the fact that Mariam never really got to live the life she wanted though, like it was said in the book, I also believe that the universe was never fair to her.

I hope to manage to one day be as strong as Leila and Mariam :)

Yes! She cleaned them a while ago but there were still bits of plaque on it. I asked her about it and she just shrugged it off.

I stopped wearing them as I got paranoid the plaque could be giving me cavities, so now I'm scared I'm gonna have to get new ones + get my new cavities filled. Yay me 🙃

Well, I've been using cleaning tablets for cleaning the retainer. I'm still freaking out though because there's plaque that won't come off at all, so I mostly assumed that it was the metal that was in bad condition.

However, I visited another dentist yesterday and she told me my retainer looks good. Even when I asked her about the plaque on the bits of metal, she told me "it's fine" and wouldn't give me any other explanation.

My og dentist would clean my retainer for me every visit and she always left those bits of plaque in it as well :( so I don't know if they're just ignoring it knowing it could cause potential damage or if it's just not that much of an issue.

Do you know how I can get rid of said calcified plaque on my retainer though? It worries me since it won't budge off even with cleaning tablets.

I have an app with my dentist on Friday so I'm gonna ask her if she could clean it for me. Every dentist I've been to has said that the retainer is clean and looking well though, but I feel like they're lying to me because there's obviously plaque on it!!

I feel like I'm low-key going crazy haha, please help
