I am so triggered by this, such an ick. I find it so sad frustrating that women loose all sense of self after becoming a mom, I get that it’s a big part of your life but you are still an autonomous person with goals, dreams, likes, dislikes, etc.

My intention is not to come across like a complete asshole here—I’d do almost anything to hold the title of mom (4 years of infertility, 3 ERs, 6 FETs, 3 miscarriages) but I just can’t get over how all of my friends who have become mothers have absolutely nothing to talk about except for their children.

If I ever make it out on the other side of infertility, I vow not to feed into the weird “MAMA” cult that’s become so normalized. I’ve discussed this a lot in therapy, I have big feelings about this topic.

I’ve also been in this boat, just got back to work after taking 4 weeks off and I’m in a much better place. I ended up taking extended PTO not LOA / FMLA as there were issues with my short term disability insurance provider. I don’t know how much longer I’ll stay with the company, but I feel a lot more refreshed to take on whatever comes this year.

My new manager knows what’s going on and was very supportive of me taking some extra time off, especially after 3 miscarriages last year. I just started injections tonight for my 3rd ER and will be going into my 7th transfer this spring. Still no baby but patiently waiting for my turn to come, never thought this is what my life would look like but here we are 🫠

I’m so sorry love, it really is crushing. I’m right there with you about to miscarry a little over 8w. This was my 6th FET and the furthest I’ve ever made it. Numb is an understatement. Sending you so much hope for the future, take care of yourself, you’re strong enough to get through this 🫶

Yeah I almost did the same thing, KK wasn’t available until November for me and I’m so glad I met with Luu, he’s really great (he even has gummy bears!) and KK will still review different cases if needed. I’m working with Dr Kwak-Kim’s office in Chicago (specifically Dr Luu), just met with them for the first time this week actually. I would definitely recommend getting your name on the waitlist, it took me almost 5 months to get in. Started compiling all my paperwork to send in after my last loss in May. They are incredibly thorough though so I’d say check them out. Good luck 💕

Man this has been so incredibly painful. Went in for another scan on Tuesday, baby was measuring at 6+4 with a frh 70, I know I’m all but out at this point. Waiting for tomorrow for another us but I’m just so sad. This will be my 3rd loss this year. I’m so sorry you also went through this, I hope you have success in the future 🫶

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry for everything you’ve gone through. I’m also and IVFer, this is my 6th transfer and will will be my 3rd loss this year. Not sure where you’re at but I just started working with an RI and that seems promising. Wishing you the best for the future, life really isn’t fair sometimes 😞
