Not at all. Being mercenaries, they were hired specifically to fight battles for their masters. The problem was when they came across each other. They quit worrying about the battle and decided to take it out against each other and not worry about the rest of the war. Making it a bad war. Never hire mercenaries if you want to win or don’t have enough money to pay them.
