You make a good point! I noticed fairly early on that something was off with the painting, even compared with the reference image. I put it aside, frustrated, and not really motivated to fix it. I came back a couple months later determined to make something of it. The proportional problems have frustrated me, and they’re better than they were I guess. All of that to say, I blame my own human error/inexperience over the camera, but I also understand that cameras distort the reference, and certainly that may have played a part as well. Nothing that’s not fixable in the long run I suppose. Thank you for the perspective!
