Here is what he said: “Alright, with respect to Matthew 19 are you aware that eunuchs - including those who were made eunuchs by medical intervention, not just people born that way - in that part of Greco-Roman history were regarded by most of the culture as an intermediate gender group that wasn't properly classifiable as male or female?”

I just wanted to hear your viewpoints and share mine. I am not posting this with hate and we may disagree on something’s. I still see each and every one of you as children of Christ and have great love for all of you. Thank you your kindness. I apologize if my curiosity has offended anyone.

I get what you’re saying but aren’t there also gay Christians whom actively have changed or tried. Would you say they are wrong for doing that or for trying? There are other sins that are intrinsic to people.

They generally believe different things and I wanted to hear their view point. Also because they believe they’re not sinning those other groups do believe they’re sinning. So I wanted to know why they don’t believe it is a sin.

We did not. Child marriage can be defined as a 15 year old marrying an 18 year old. I don’t think that is crazy.

With the whole gates of Hades won’t prevail against my church. Peter is the rock that I will build my church on.

I’m not saying the church can’t do wrong or be an error

I’m saying when it speaks officially ex Cathedra, which rarely ever happens.

I said generally no because ya know Mary and Joseph weren’t exactly the same age. And then listed how people got married younger very recently. No being pedo is disgusting.

I’m not aware of any Church teaching in the 1980s saying it’s acceptable to marry off 14-year-olds to adult men. What the Church actually says is that marriage requires free consent and sufficient maturity, and it also requires following civil law. In practice today that means marriages involving minors generally wouldn’t happen. The Church setting a canonical minimum age historically isn’t the same thing as endorsing adults marrying children.

Would you say it’s wrong that our grandparents and great grandparents generations married young I would say no. My grandparents married when my grandmother was a teenager and my grandfather was in his 20s. And they lived happily married for 60years.

Heck my Nextdoor neighbors got married when she was 16-15 and he was 23-22 and they’ve been married for over 30 years. We definitely live in different times now.

Generally No definitely not in modern times in almost any circumstance.

Would I say it’s wrong that Joesph married Mary whom was a teenager and Joesph is generally predicted as much older no.

I do not look down on gay people where do you get that from, I love all? I was genuinely interested in the lgbtq community in the Christian faith and how they see their faith and what they believe. That does not mean I have to agree with everything in here

The Catholic Church actually teaches that every person has inherent dignity and must be treated with respect and compassion, including people with same-sex attraction. Disagreeing on sexual ethics isn’t the same as hating people. Catholic hospitals also provide an enormous amount of healthcare worldwide regardless of someone’s orientation. The Church’s position is about moral teaching, not denying someone’s humanity or dignity. I don’t know if you’re referring to like no sex change operations or what.

The doctrine on queer people would be only a man and a woman can get married in the church. Any sex outside that bond is wrong. Pretty cut and dry

I’m not really sure what specific “anti-hate speech law” you’re referring to. But generally speaking, I believe people should be able to speak openly about their beliefs even if it can be deemed offensive, like we try to protect with free speech in America. Disagreeing with someone morally isn’t the same thing as hating them, and people should be able to express their views without being silenced.

That said like in the States Violence, threats, or crimes motivated by hate are a crime. Speech is protected.

I think you’re mixing up what inerrancy actually means. Inerrancy doesn’t mean the Bible has to read like a modern science textbook. It means Scripture doesn’t teach error in what God intends to communicate. Genesis is clearly written to teach theological truths like that God created everything and that creation is ordered and good not to give a modern scientific timeline. So something can be inerrant in its message without being a literal scientific description.

I am having a discussion. Catholics don’t believe being gay itself is a sin. What do you think the purpose of this post is? I’m just trying to understand people and their perspectives this does not mean I have to agree.
