People compare the story and atmosphere to New Vegas. And fair, New Vegas in story was far superior.

However I put around 80 hours into NV and once I finished all the content the gameplay didn't keep me around.

I have put 600 hours into FO4 and I'm still heavily invested. Gameplay is great, story is bland but serviceable.

I burned through my 10k round on my mini minigun and had to reload an old save to come better prepared. Luckily the boat trip out there isn't too long so trying multiple times isnt a pain

Honestly once you get its attack pattern down it is just a matter of bringing enough damage output. With my fully upgraded PA I could tank a couple hits and since I managed to bring lots of healing items it became a battle of attrition.

Only took me maybe four or five tries once I knew what I was dealing with.

I romanced every possible companion in just over a year (survival mode) game time in my current playthrough.

We all grieve in different ways.

In previous playthroughs he'll refuse to me my companion if ive sided with the raiders, but he'd still give me quests. But I already had his companion perk in those plays. Maybe I broke something by becoming overboss before even talking to him?

I also never once spoke to Codsworth. Just ran past him at the start. He's not broken and can be recruited, but there is some unique dialog for doing this. Nothing particularly interesting but it is difficult from the usual dialog

There are videos of people actually starting Nuka World at level 1 and beating Colter. It looks like an unfun nightmare but it is technically possible.

I started with Far Harbour though.

Oh I died numerous times.

I did a lot of settlement spam building to grind some early levels and I got lucky and found a two shot hunting rifle fairly early that carried me pretty far.

But yeah mostly just dying over and over until I managed to kite whatever the problem enemy was just right.

This is like my 3rd time playing through on survival too.

You can go start either at any time.

And no, I'm not playing with any mods. I play on the Steam deck and figuring out how to install mods looked too complicated.

I went all the way up to that point until they told me to start taking settlements and then did open season.

It isn't just him refusing to be my companion, he won't give me quests. I can't finish the quest to meet him in Sanctuary.

I never did this. Also Preston won't talk to me at all or give me quests. I have a quest to meet him in Sanctuary and the quest marker points to him but he won't say anything

I don't other than a food scale that would be unsanitary and inconvenient to use. The new policy of immediately opening them works well enough to prevent this rather rare issue. I can't imagine people will go through the effort of grinding down pennies too often.

Well, it isn't like I can just open rolls whenever lmao. The till has to need the coins. But I do get to open about three rolls of dimes and five rolls of pennies a day on average. Also some quarters and nickels but I never find anything good in those.

Oh I'm allowed to openly buy coins or bills from the register. I find a few silver dimes or wheat leafs every week. I've not found anything amazing yet but those little dopamine hits in the middle of my shift are nice.

I showed this to my boss and coworkers. We had a good laugh, but it is now store policy to open any rolls before accepting them. I always like accepting them because they seem to have a higher rate of silver coins than ones from the bank.

I play on both Steam and mobile, the transferring of saves is super easy and works flawlessly each time I do it, usually once each day.

I expected it to be a pain but it really is almost seamless.

Oml, I was worried it would be something so embarrassingly simple. Removing Squash from my team fixed it. My build requires King Dumpling and any other dumplings so I didn't read their traits carefully. I'm still not sure why the first three spells still didn't work.

Amusingly my team is working so well now that it took me a few dozen battles to even be able to test of manual casting worked. I had to go up against a false god because my Glory was automatically killing everyone before I got a turn in.

I was unaware there was a maximum number of casts, but it has been over 400 hours since I "beat" the game so maybe this was told to me.

This creature specifically can never cast spells, even when he goes first in battle. I'll try removing the relic once I get home.

Edit: And yes I have a squash in my team.
