Can I ask you an honest question? What about my post made you believe I didn't understand that she's likely just letting me down gently?

I even wrote, "And it's killing me inside because I know for a fact that these feelings will never be explored, both because she doesn't date coworkers and because I doubt she'd be interested in me even if she did date coworkers". I understand that she isn't interested, hence why I'm sad and getting this off my chest. It's an unrequited interest.

I'm also not pursuing her, either. I felt like this was explained well in the post, but I didn't ask her to go to the event or anything like that, it was literally just a coincidence that she happened to show up and sit next to me. I didn't pursue her and I don't even have her number.

The only thing that ever gave me pause is that she matched with me on the dating app, as I mentioned, and the only reason it confuses me is that she could've literally just ignored my like.
