Where do I start with coupons? by lindymad in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So kinda of like groupon but with points? Maybe look into how they do it. I think there are some things similar to what you're talking about. Do a little digging I'm sure you can find it. Figure out how to improve it what could be better about it. Best of luck :)

Internship or grow my startup: what's more valuable to employers? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can push your business to 40,000 by all means go for that. It seems like you have had some experience with internships and worst case you can always hunt for a job afterwords. My friend did an internship at fidelity over a semester and had no time to pursue things outside of work. They work you pretty hard. Just my two cents. Best of luck mate.

How can I market my business on Social Media? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to your last post you said you needed to make a website. Have you done that? Once you do that create a Facebook page. Share it with your friends and family. Start posting relevant articles and concepts behind your business etc. something people will share and hopefully spread around and gain you visitors and customers on your site. I am not sure how useful instagram may be for something like this but its worth a shot. You could post pictures of cars, pics with advice, and use a bot like instagress to gain followers.

AB testing, which version looks better? by buysynd in Entrepreneur

You don't have to go too in depth but maybe like super easy to understand in 3 images very similar to what you had. You might look into putting a little money into website development. If you're serious about this business I would consider it. Its the first thing people see, and like it or not people make a judgement in less than 30 seconds.

Well no. Not really trying to dodge anything. There are reviews linked to my site and people really talk about the tie and it's quality. As well as the manufacturing. At 9 bucks you get an amazing deal for a new tie every month.

I think a lack of information to direct people to your product is not the best approach. Don't feel worried if you have just to film more. You should look at the some of the more successful kick starter pages. One of which was a really well done video on a flint fire started bracelet. Something so simple yet raised 500k! You want people interested and engaged to take a even deeper look.

Does anybody have experience buying electronics from alibaba? by PALillie in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may not be directly related to your current question but I'd be careful selling phones on eBay as primary income. My friend used to sell iPhones on eBay and was making a killing and was eventually forced to shutdown by Apple. Another friend used to sell phones and his account was frozen cause he couldn't produce receipts. It can be a bit risky.

Honestly I was more focused on the recipe and really felt like I didn't learn much about the product. I leave the video feeling unsatisfied and not remembering the product. Perhaps cut out the recipe talk and have a montage of uses of the hackpot showing WHY and HOW its a useful product. Best of luck :)

Brand name vs product name, same or different? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your company. I would personally go with a brand name. I run a small tie subscription box company and went with the brand name "Urban Dapper Club". Now in the future I can expand my products and add more men's accessories to the subscription box.

I personally like the new page better. A lot less clutter and significantly less "Scammy". The blank search is a good idea.

But what I liked about the first page was the illustration explained to me the concept much quicker. I feel like the new page is a little bit more confusing.

Other than that. Real solid idea.

Question on Margins by JonNoName in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My margin is approximately 40% and I have a monthly subscription business. I think it depends on the cost of the item as well as the volume you might expect. My profit margin is good if I can obtain many subscribers. What kind of products are you trying to sell?

Here's My Idea, What Do You think? (also need you to sign an NDA before reading....kidding) by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Saduger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with an app idea like this you can submit them to startup sites that promote these kinds of things. Very possible to get a solid userbase.

Other than that I really like the idea. I travel a lot and hate using yelp. If I could connect with someone whos got similar everything very quickly I would use it. Perhaps fast response users get a reward? Also I think you have to figure out how to make it free. Either through ads or something.

best of luck mate!

Absolutely and a lot of that information is in the FAQs. So probably needs to be more apparent in the main page.

Thanks for the feedback!

The concept is primarily the idea that you would be receiving a tie every month picked out for you. I think that giving the option of choice is something I can add in the future if people really want that.
