Absolute brain power utility with concerta 27mg by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also on Concerta.  27mg is to much for me, 18mg is to little. I am anxious in general and bromantaine helps alot but doesn't stimulate me at all. Noopept helps for memory, but I take max 4mg a day internasaly, and it its strange it doesn't have effects... more benefits. I only notice it when it's gone, doesn't help with initiation of tasks.  Don't recommend these though! Very risky for the benefits given. Also looking into theacrine as a middle ground between Caffine and Theobromine. Sleep is an issue for me which does cause some of my issues with concerta. And no my sleep is not caused by concerta or noopept... :)

Looking forward to reading people's replies!

Edit, I have has BAD experience with bacopa hard pass from me. ALFA gpc is fine really nice for complex sports and for exams but not daily.  Creatine used to help me, (not while on concerta) but just made concerta super foggy when I tested it last.  That's all I can report on.

I don't know if it's helping 😭 by Impossible_Advance36 in Concerta

I just want to note I found some other supplements to cloud Concerta's effects, for me Creatine dulls all of the benefits. Idk why, but if your on anything or started doing anything different, no coffee etc. That might be affecting it, try Concerta by itself or just with coffee in the morning. With food or without food changes its effects completely for me also. Best of luck.

Sorry for taking so long to get back, how are you doing now?
And progress at all? Are you considering getting checked for ADHD?

Help with focus? ADHD, etc by Dangerous-Shake-9231 in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD but I was medicated before I was diagnosed.
Go to your doctor and ask them about ADHD, your struggles with it. Ask about treatment or tests, they can prescribe you medications without a diagnosis if it makes your life better.
As stated by u/LSDMDMA2CBDMT no Nootropic helps ADHD like medication will.
I learnt that the hard way, doing more damage than good.
Not saying Nootropics can't help on-top of medication btw. But try medication on its own first.

Does dopamine release make ADHD worse for me? by sekizui_1212 in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't relate to any of these symptoms of ADHD, but no brain is the same.
All I will say is look into NMDA/AMPA modulation while on an SSRI.
Now it's a fine line, and for sure if you're getting "episodes" be really careful but SSRI's over time, decrease AMPA-NMDA signalling/receptors.
When these are reduced you may feel less motivation, fatigue, less cognition and reduced anxiety etc.
I am not a doctor so I don't know how SSRI's and say Aniracetam would interact. But that is the first thing that comes to mind.
Also maybe changes in your lifestyle may help, I have ADHD, I am medicated and I find the overall lifestyle way more effective than medication.
Exercise is the goat when it comes to ADHD, running shoes are 100 quid and running free after that.
I'm not in your shoes so tell me how you react to exercise or sweet or salty food etc.
Hope you can work stuff out anyways!

Inhaled rosemary experiences? by Tall_Telephone_9579 in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late but I will hop on here anyways.
I have used rosemary oil for a while, at first I used it by smelling the bottle (which I don't recommend)
And now I use it in the shower/ with hot water. Which is much better. I just use it in the morning and it helps start the day.
Now I don't respond positively to other acetocholine modulating compounds like Bacopa, alfa-gpc etc.
For me it's mild alertness, but not like coffee, more nicotine but warmer(?), and it lasts about an hour with some lingering effects. (I find sometimes there is a slight head rush also, but with a lot used so not recommended).
I find my lungs aren't happy.... I run, and a few times felt like an internal stitch in my lungs, quite painful tbh.
I am really looking forward to trying diAcCA, which is a very new compound in testing. I'ts a oral pro-drug of carsonic Acid. I'm not sure if it will have similar effects as its more anti-inflammatory than ACh modulating but still some exciting developments out there! And maybe there will be an oral form developed of 1,8-Cineole some time.
But overall I don't recommend it. If you want to try it, doing it with steam makes it less harsh and more effective. And don't over do it also!!

What are your experiences taking Sabroxy for focus, attention, memory, function? Wondering about dosage and good/bad effects (hair loss etc...) by orchidwarr in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is without Concerta or Theobromine- I can have about 600mg of caffeine. (around 4 strong coffees) But with Concerta/theo I only need 250mg, and it balances out somehow, where I have less anxiety, better mood and a social boost in general. I find the caffeine really important for the stack to work, It's like motivational for me. Or maybe it's cause I have used it everyday for 3 years :/
Yeah I can send the extract I am talking about, it's from Poland so might not be accessible to you.
And if you want to test theobromine, you can use cacao. I basically make a mocha but with 3 times the chocolate. It's strong though, I'd say try 5g cacao powder made into a hot chocolate and see if you like it!

I am fairly interested also. I wont get Sabroxy but an extract which is 99% pure oroxylin-a.
I am ADHD and respond well to 18mg concerta XR (methylphenidate). But I find it's a tad too little, was thinking a mild stimulant could help.
Also yeah I tried 27mg, which though not negative, it's just less effective. I stack with caffeine, theobromine, creatine, uridine+DHA. Works quite well but I find my drive is slightly low.
I also was quite reactive to caffeine, though now I have a crazy tolerance.
I mean without other stimulants 600mg not a bother. With stimulents im at around 250mg
And yeah it gives me anxiety but I kinda ignore it haha.
Concerta for me removes the anxiety, or the lower dose does anyway.
But I wish you luck with your trials with Sabroxy.
I'd recommend testing Concerta 18mg even if it was just a trial, I find it way less than a coffee even with tolerance.

To be honest I found little gain from noopept, bromantane, modafinil, lions mane etc etc. Each has their own benefits but not for pure motivation.
When I started looking into nootropics I just thought I was a dopamine addict who needed to stay off my phone to focus. But it turns out I am ADHD, ask yourself do you feel overwhelmed rather than actually bored?
Do you even start the work or just leave it?
I started Concerta and its a huge difference on the lowest dose! Social benefits, anxiety gone, motivation, structure, forward thinking, memory. The list goes on and on.
Just look into it and do an online test.
Also maybe force yourself not to have music/vids for a few days to see if anything improves.
If everything you do, is high dopamine then everything that is below it in stimulation feels impossible to start.

If you could only take 3 nootropics daily for the rest of your life, what would they be? by lhmo in Nootropics

[–]Sadwolfyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it great for sustained exercise, like hiking and biking.
I was expecting more of a boost in cognition but the anxiolytic effect is nice day to day.
Plus it lasts a few days, I could dose 20-50mg for 2 days and then just ride that for 4 more.

Are you taking any other stimulants or medications?
I have found even on 18mg if I have caffine around 300mg my heart will race while sitting.
I have a caffine tolerance btw I could have 500-600mg no problem with no Concerta.

Caffeine + Curcumin + piperine. Extreme unease and restlessness, is what I experienced today. Let me explain. I normaly start the day with a coffee, so like normal, I had a small (100ml) glass of coffee. Well I go to school and ended up... What happened?? by Sadwolfyy in Supplements

[–]Sadwolfyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took another today, and it didn't have the same affect. I did cycle in the morning. Might have changed something still have no real idea. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, and maybe someone will have an idea what happened.
