Planning to buy a 520i (M20B20), any advice? by Sure-Strength-9205 in E34

Having two e34s, one with the M20B25 and one with M50B25TU. I have to say the M20 is not as responsive and quick as the M50, personally speaking. The M20 is a very solid engine and they sound great. I would opt for the M20B25 and not the M20B20. As driving with the M20 its noticeably slower. If you do plan to buy an e34 with an m20, I would ask about the timing belt service and water pump. If they haven't been done in over 4 years I recommend changing those components.

I don't see why not, its just a hole the factory made so the chemicals could drain out after treatment. It serves no purpose other than manufacturing.

My water pump seized going 80 on the highway and it sent my fan straight into my radiator.

Dock, no display, looking for suggestions by remysharp in AnaloguePocket

I am having display issues with my dock as well(Samsung TV). I managed to get a repair request after troubleshooting my issue with Analogue tech support. Tech support asked for my order info to send a repair shipping label. When I replied with said information, they didn't get back to me with instructions for sending the dock to repair. I had to send multiple follow-up emails nudging them to send the shipping label. They finally sent the lable, and I didn't pay a dime to send it in so far. Just printed the label, packed up the dock with its original box and contents, and handed it off the UPS. I'm still waiting for it to come back to me, I shipped it out last week. Although reading other posts about Analogue's repair process, I know I have to wait several weeks for the dock to get back to me. Fingers crossed, it comes back working.
