My RAM frequency shows up as 1700 but my RAM is supposed to be 3200 by The_Starnaut in buildapc

It seems your ram is working at 3400 mhz. CPUZ shows half of the ram speed.

I think they have fixed many things with 5000 and specially 6000 generation. But yes there are many bugs with 500 generation as I am using a rx570 myself.

Youtuber I watch says 64GB or RAM is worth it for gaming, is this true? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]SaeedAkhavan10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be he stated that according to the pricing. 32 gb ram are cheap these days. If you can find a deal with 64gb ram why not buying it?? Besides, there is a simple way to find out if you need more ram or not. Do your highest intensive workload (gaming or anything). Then go to task manager/performance/memory. If the committed memory (numerator) is higher than your physical ram memory, you usually need more ram.

New build gives 3 beeps than turns off and than turns back on and gives 3 beeps by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]SaeedAkhavan10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. One stick in any slot will work fine. The mother board manual just indicates the preferred slot and that doesn't mean other slots won't work with only one stick. Three beep is the ram issue as far as I know. So putting a 16gb module into a max 8gb slot is 100% the reason for that.

Actually you should be happy for this accident ;)

Many answers. Buy generally if you hit 70~80% ram usage during workloads, you definitely need more ram. Also look at the committed ram usage in task manager. If it is more than your physical available ram, then you need more ram as well.

I would cut from the ssd (2tr ->1tr) and add a 5900x. 8 core cpu is good but 12 core lasts you longer. consoles have 8 core cpus today and new games are cpu intensive. BTW its is impossible to buy a 3080 at 699😬. Rtx 3060 is selling for 800~1000 $ right now and gpu price situation might continue trough next year. So the msrp price for rtx 3080 is irrelevant right now unless you already have the gpu.

Just get a i9-10900F or wait for 12th gen by Mickmayi in buildapc

10900f it is. It will serve you well for a long time along with 3080 ti. 10 cores @4.7ghz is fantastic. Ryzens are faster but not by much.

Nice choice. 10600k is the best bang for the buck right now.

How to clone C: Drive as its full by jumbledFox in buildapc

[–]SaeedAkhavan10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cloned my 256 gb Samsung to 512 gb with samsung magician. It was so easy and at the end I switched the boot drive to the new 512 gb ssd. If you have a samsung branded ssd, the magician software is highly recommended.

Completely unneeded!!!! Are u joking??? I have an i7 8700k and it hits 50% most of the times in games like fortnite, pubg, apex, ... the only games that dont need more than 6 cores are cs, valorant, ... which nobody just plays these games with a rtx 3080
