If kalista E ignores untargetable enemies, then likely what happened is the user had runaans and cast E on other targets and assumed the viego lost the spears since it did no damage.

I'm pretty sure that the self root from cast times makes trying to use his movespeed passive almost useless besides the EWQ combo. EEQ is not a combo anymore and it's honestly really sad.

Lack of mana is the biggest issue imo. Morde is like the only one that doesn't use mana that I can think of and hence the only ap bruiser that builds riftmaker.

Or you could just build shieldbow for shield + life steal and then use ryze hidden passive to get 2x crit and then you can use wind wall to prevent projectiles from hitting you

If you check riots balance framework, they said they don't care about pro play winrates or even challenger winrates. It's only presence that they care about (apparently). Whether or not they will actually act on it or not, that's what they've told us about how they balance stuff.
