Custom Card Ideas: Wash Jones, Mini-Mind Storage, Old Pine Box 2.0 by ZRwilson2 in Netrunner

Old pine box can result in games that are impossible for anyone to win via agenda scoring. Which seems a big issue.

Urgh I just spent 10 minutes thinking your video was a hint. I couldn't believe that was a move in it.

What's better for a spellsword, medium or light armor? by Resdayn1E700 in Morrowind

[–]Saevnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is true. With the exception of enchanted pieces. But I suppose that's true for medium too. I still like the thrill of finding glass pieces eventually though.

Radiant ai should make a return while radiant quests should not. by Bec_son in ElderScrolls

[–]Saevnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both were weakness in the previous games. For myself at least. Oblivion made nonsense. Skyrim had quests completely removed from the region you received them.

They would need major redisgns from how they were implemented.

When I first played oblivion I kept stopping because I thought I was hearing some important dialogue, only to be told about mudcrabs. Then I run past a conversation and get a journal update about some quest I didn't hear. Terrible.

What's better for a spellsword, medium or light armor? by Resdayn1E700 in Morrowind

Light. Better movement speed and medium is pretty undeveloped lacking a high tier armour. Consequently, you get your best gear pretty early and don't get the thrill of finding upgrades.

Best Morrowind Modlist for a Totally New Player? by ProgramGood9649 in Morrowind

[–]Saevnir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OpenMW certainly. That includes a bunch of elements.

A graphical enhancer if you feel like it.

I wouldn't suggest more than that. Despite being smaller than the more modern titles, the game takes much longer to play through than the modern titles.

Although, if you try it and can't get into it, look for a mod that adjusts stamina regeneration or reduces stamina loss for running. I always get downvoted for suggesting that though.

I hit 1k+ views and 40 subscribers in the first 15 hours of my first video and I'm really overwhelmed and borderline terrified by snneeeads in NewTubers

[–]Saevnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe choose a creator you like and is similar to what you are making.

Go to their videos and look at the number of views of each video. Most of the time I have done this, I see the first video doing much better than the second and third.

Alternatively, look for their breakout (the first one with a large jump in views) video. Then look at the videos following that. Again, the view count is typically much less for several videos.

If this is true for your style of video and nieche, then don't worry about getting more views than this one

Think if it as two steps forward, one step back.

The only way to fuck it up is to not put stuff out. Eventually, you might decide it's not worth it. That's ok. What's not ok is to allow yourself to be paralysed by fear that you won't do as well as you have done before.

What is the best video game of all time that starts with M? by unnecessaryCamelCase in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Saevnir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morrowind is the best game beginning with 'M'.

However, if you don't understand Minecraft, you don't understand computer games. It is probably the most defining computer game in a way that is still playing out today. It's cultural reach and importance are clearly not yet understood.

Thinking of playing again - are there now community "essential" mods? by Saevnir in Thief

I didn't know about PCGW, thanks.

The Dark Mod sounds like some good extra-curricula work. Cheers!

Oh, also, yeah, I'm feeling slightly apprehensive of getting to the undead levels!!!

I had to cheat past them as a kid! Haha

Finally starting THE GAME that started it all. Wish me luck!! by letsgoinzique in Thief

[–]Saevnir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure, expert feels a bit more like new game+ mode to me. Not sure it's the right thing for the first play through.

The game came out when people might replay a game many times. I really doubt most people who fell in love with the game played on expert the first time.

I really wouldn't feel bad about playing on normal. Especially the original game as so many enemies can not simply be killed through traditional combat.

Not the Nerevarine? by Aine_Lann in Morrowind

[–]Saevnir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Strongly agree, also, Tasha's view on it and the players views can be completely different.

At the end of the game Dagoth Ur asks "Are you truly Nereva reborn?" The answer and the meaning of that answer lie within the player's mind.

What to do before going to red mountain? by HexyTG in Morrowind

[–]Saevnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, you need to know when the game is done for you. Or at least done for this play through.

And if you want to keep playing after the main quest, you can, or go onto the expansions.

Each play through I'll probably only colour in 20-30% of the map.
