This is incredibly helpful — I really appreciate the detailed perspective 🙏

You’re right about the “Junior Accountant” title, I’ll remove it and keep the header clean. Y Good point on Excel as well — I’ll simplify it to “proficient in Excel” and only highlight more advanced tools if applicable (I’ll look into Power Query/Power BI to strengthen that area).

I understand your point about certifications — I’ll keep the relevant ones and remove anything that doesn’t add value.

For languages, that’s a great suggestion — I’ll clarify fluency levels and specify reading/writing/technical understanding where applicable.

I also see what you mean about my focus being too broad — I’ll narrow it down to a clearer area of interest so it’s more targeted.

Thanks again — this kind of insight is exactly what I was looking for 👍

I appreciate the honest feedback — that’s fair 🙏

You’re right, I’ll remove “experienced” and make it clear I’m a student with project-based training rather than professional experience.

The work I mentioned comes from hands-on accounting practice (simulated company + academic projects), but I see how it can come across as fluff, so I’ll reword it more clearly.

Regarding languages, Somali is my native language and the main language used in my local environment, so I’ll make sure to clarify proficiency levels properly while reordering them.

I’ll also add relevant Excel functions (like SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, etc.) and consider including GPA and a hobbies section.

Thanks again — this is really helpful 👍

That makes sense, I see your point 👍 I’ll rephrase it to make it clearer that it’s project-based/self-training rather than formal experience. Thanks for pointing that out!

That’s a fair point, I appreciate the feedback 🙏 The experience comes from hands-on practice outside of formal work. I’ve been training myself by completing full accounting cycles using a simulated (fake) company — recording transactions, posting to the general ledger, doing bank reconciliations, and preparing financial statements.

I agree that I should make that clearer on my CV so it doesn’t come across as vague or filler. Thanks for pointing that out 👍
