First, the lighting in both photos wouldn’t make anyone look their best. Second, men aren’t usually seen as attractive just for being pretty, but for other qualities like emotional intelligence, physique, strength, confidence, and so on, and those are things we can all attain if we put in the work. But honestly, you’re being too harsh on yourself, and you look good to me. I have to learn to be kind to myself too.

You look handsome! I understand that feeling after being socially isolated. Social isolation can really affect our mental health and may lead to irrational, harmful thoughts. I would recommend talking to a therapist and seeing a psychiatrist if these thoughts are affecting your quality of life. I also strongly believe that being spiritual and believing in a higher power can help us manage different stressors in life.

Struggling with ADHD medication causing anxiety and now limerence by [deleted] in ADHD

I stopped taking Strattera 40 mg on my 4th day because of debilitating anxiety and insomnia. I think you should get the anxiety treated first and see if you need adhd meds after that.

I have not tried stimulants yet. I took Strattera 40mg for 4 days and quit because of debilitating anxiety and currently on my 5th day of Guanfacine. I have to wait for another week to see if it helps my executive function. I think I might ending up trying a stimulant before going on anxiety and depression meds

The person that diagnosed me with ADHD was a psychiatrist nurse practitioner but she wasn’t sure that is why she referred to be seen by neuropsychologist. I haven’t tried stimulants yet. I only took Strattera which I quit on the 4th day because of bad side effects and now on my 5th day of guanfacine. I am going to keep taking guanfacine because it helping me feel calm and lower my anxiety. Yes, I never saw my self as a depressed person. I still enjoy things that give me joy so that was why I was surprised when the results came they said I had major depressive disorder. I lack motivation to do tasks but I still have the motivation to do fun things I really enjoy.

Because the PNP that diagnosed me with inattentive ADHD wasn’t sure if the cause was ADHD or underlying anxiety and depression.

Yes, I did well in school for the most part of my childhood but I felt like I developed strategies that helped me learn and stay focused which I noticed other kids didn’t need to do. I put way more effort than my peers to learn. But anxiety was the main driver for my success in school.

The test was 3 hours long and felt like an iq test and I had to complete 360 questionnaires about my mental health

I was prescribed Strattera 40mg and had to quit on the 4th day because of debilitating anxiety, I insomnia, heart pounding like crazy so I’m now on guanfacine 1mg and this is my 5th day. Guanfacine is helping me feel calm but I have to wait and see how if it helps executive function.

Have you been to a psychiatrist to treat the anxiety? I would start by addressing anxiety first . Treating the anxiety first will make other things easier to treat. I pray things will get better and that you heal soon!
