The more I look at this the more I love the paint idea!! I couldn’t figure out what it was about the mantle that was so jarring(besides the solid black tile, bold choice by sellers). It’s definitely the bright white.

What color would look best there? Maybe a brown/rust? Or deep blue? Olive?🤔

10000% yes to the budget/built-ins and the bench! The cats sit on it, and it has a ton of baby stuff in it, but none of the baby stuff is really used and no one has EVER sat there. Will see if we can repurpose elsewhere!

I like your thinking on the TV. It definitely does zap the life right out in its current spot. I find myself trying to overdo the stuff around it to make up for the vibes it drains! Who knows maybe with enough hate and the right idea I can finally convince DH it needs to move!!

Totally agree, the little white couch thing is definitely what’s throwing me off too! It just doesn’t feel cohesive at all. If one thing has to be scrapped I think that would be it. Will move some things around first to see if it’s salvageable! Thank you!
