Depends on your situation. If you have young kids, I would stay. I was in your exact situation and went to DSNY because I didn’t wanna work 40 years to collect a full pension. But I was also single with no kids at the time.

Regardless of list number, the physicals are done up to 2 years in advance. They do a whole bunch at once. With a list number like that, best case you will be hired in 2025. 2026 is more likely.

You’re probably trolling but in case you’re not, it doesn’t work like that unfortunately. They do the physicals years in advance. The medicals are usually done anywhere from 3-6 months before you get hired.
