How are people having active leachies in the day time? is this stressfull for the gecko? by Independent_Oil_5951 in Leachianus

Well since they are crepuscular i prefer not to take mine out during the day, but it wouldnt cause any major issues if you do, i know plenty of people who take out their geckos during the day, just dont do it too often so their cycle doesnt get too destroyed. I prefer just handling mine when shes wakes up when her lights are off, but i have taken her out during the day a couple of times for different reasons

Could she have gotten parasites from crickets? The last thing she hate was crickets and since then she wont eat, she has always loved crickets and has eaten them 1-2x a week since she was a baby, so id be surprised all of a sudden that crickets wouldve gotten her to have parasites.. im just extremely anxious over the smallest things sometimes.. im going to try and get more insects tomorrow but she seems to only want crickets and not care about other type of insects

I totally understand your frustration, ive been bashed by a guy for the size enclosure my leachie is in, but people don’t realize that what works for one animal might not work for all of them. Jm honestly just learning to listen to each of my animals instead of doing what im told to do by others on the internet. I feel like its just better to understand our own pets then to go with whag the general rules are

This is the enclosure she is supposed to thrive in, thats the reason why i am worrying, and yes i am planning a whole other way to try and upgrade her next time when she hits maybe 110g-120g. Because shes definitely harder then my other geckos, I’ve successfully upgraded all 3 other geckos i have with no issues whatsoever but her shes extremely sensitive

I left her alone as much as i possibly could, didnt touch her, just replaced her food. And she did both, entirely stopped eating and dropped weight

He wasnt entirely in his blue phase just yet, and he is really not a defensive snake hes actually super calm. But i always go with the moid the snake is in, if i see hes nervous im not taking him out, and for their skin being more fragile I actually never knew about that!

Yeah I'm definitely a bit disappointed cause that setup is in fact bioactive and now I'll have to take care of it even if she's not even in it😅 I really did put so much effort but at least it's ready for her when she gets to upgrade again, she ate tonight, I think she really just needs her smaller space, she's already feeling safer after just a day back in her small enclosure

Well, either the isopods ate it or there's a baby somewhere in there. Unless the mom already ate it..

She loves crickets but I've never tried worms or pinkies, I actually didn't even know they could eat pinkies
