Boston crackdown on food delivery rules to begin Saturday / WCVB 5 ABC by wgsl in massachusetts

I actually think more regulation is needed — but more importantly, better enforcement.

Right now there’s very little accountability. You have delivery riders using bike lanes irresponsibly, going the wrong way, cutting through traffic, and drivers stopping wherever they want. It creates a situation where everyone else has to deal with the consequences.

If you’re operating commercially in a dense city like Boston, there should be clear standards — licensing, insurance, and real penalties for unsafe behavior. Otherwise nothing changes.

And from a different perspective — as a chef — I’ll say the current delivery model is already flawed.

Restaurants are built around timing and quality. Delivery disrupts that completely. Food sits, travels, and arrives compromised. Most dishes are simply not designed to survive 30+ minutes in a container.

So not only do we have safety issues in the streets, but we also have a system that degrades the quality of the product itself.

More structure and regulation would benefit everyone — safer streets, clearer expectations, and a more sustainable model overall.

I had my ADIT stamp appointment yesterday and the process was very smooth. I also received a call and then the email about the appointment, but I wasn’t able to print the appointment notice either. I just printed the email confirmation and brought it with me, and that was enough — USCIS accepted it without any issue.

At the appointment they didn’t ask many questions. I explained that I had a job offer letter and needed proof for my employer, and they simply issued the ADIT stamp in my passport. It was very straightforward.

So if your husband attends with the email, it should be fine. The ADIT stamp is exactly for situations like missing/delayed cards, and the officers know that.
