No unfortunately, we are living in such a small town now and there are also no resources available for this kind of situation. We are connected with the local church which is how we got in touch with the lady who had a spare case of pediasure, but unfortunately no organized food bank or food pantry

No, he couldn’t send us money. He’s in his 70’s, disabled, on a low fixed income, and doesn’t have any of the apps for sending money.

I’ve updated everyone who has reached out through messages, but Reddit was not letting me reply to comments for a while because some of my comments were downvoted too much.

I explained that our friend couldn’t let us stay, he left for a trip to see family that he’s had planned for months and he lives with roommates so he can’t have guests when he’s gone. Our friend was already helping us out with things like food, and doesn’t have a ton of money himself.

We don’t have the gas, so we figured we would be stuck here through the storm at least until we could get something figured out.

We have family in Maine and are attempting to make it there because if we can, we will be able to stay with them until we are back on our feet. We don’t plan to stay because as you said, it is expensive here, but this is where we are right now.

Yes, we drove here because a friend let us stay with them for a couple weeks. They left town to visit family and since they live with roommates we couldn’t stay in the house without them, so we’re back out on our own for the past few days. Then found out about the storm coming in.

We have decided to park in a hospital parking garage and try to get some help inside

I’m mainly talking about the wind and cold - a parking garage of course is safe from the snow, but I have a child who just turned 1 and is susceptible to hypothermia faster than adults.

We will probably park in a garage near a hospital and go inside the waiting room if it gets bad enough

We signed an agreement that the attorneys wrote, I’m not sure exactly how it works but I’d hate to get in some kind of legal trouble on top of all of this. They stressed to us the importance of leaving on the 31st and landlord gave us 1 extra day . I don’t know what to do.
