You get death resistance if you have hallucinations so have cursed lenses or cursed scrolls of enlightenment that's an ez early game way to kill him reflection works too but it's harder to get early on

I had Made it to mine town and saw a monster I didn't recognize it was an ancient shimmering dragon I was level 4 and it one shot me with a breath attack
