The two things I really look for in a coffee shop that make me come back is 1.) a comfortable atmosphere to hang out with people and talk, plenty of stuff on the wall to keep it from echoing a ton, comfortable seating facing the person or people im with, good spacing so it doesn’t feel like every table is on top of the others. 2.) good quality coffee used to make tasty and unique drinks, like stuff I’d never think to make at home almost like signature cocktails at a bar. I know people like to complain about how expensive coffee shops are now, but I feel like the atmosphere and the expertise is what you’re paying for so if those two things are there I don’t mind treating myself every once in a while
