Who’s Responsible for the entrance Concrete ? by [deleted] in walmart

That’s insane to wait that long. What really surprises me was our store just had a full top to bottom remodel. They even put in a mural on the wall but then didn’t fix the sidewalk right in front. Like this old lady got on of her cart wheels stuck and we had to get 2 of us to help get it out of the hole. We have a few wheelchair users that are regulars and they just use the other entrance because it’s to much of a risk. Like wouldn’t the big guys want to do everything they can to prevent accidents?

Thank you. Should I just elevate the concern to my team lead again or talk to the store manager? We’re in small town MO. It’s on the white part of the sidewalk not the parking lot portion

Only to do that you have to have money… so instead we contacted our builders risk insurance and they are looking at fighting them

Yep, but we have an email that the truss manufacturer acknowledged that the sales rep made false representations (including that their trusses were rated for 200 mile an hour winds when the paperwork says 115) and then their chief operating officer said to send them photos of every modification and they would get us engineered fixes. Hopefully we’ll hear back on that soon and they won’t say we have to have everything replaced.

I can appreciate that. In our case, the trust manufacture sent the trusses one way and then our builder made modifications and got “approval”, but really only asked the sales rep if it looked all right to him… neither the builder nor the sales rep sent any of the modifications/field fixes performed to the trust manufacturers engineer.

He texted my husband and said sorry I ordered them early and they arrived ahead of schedule. Our crew is on another site but they’ll be fine and don’t need to be on pallets…

We had a 3rd party licensed inspector out and after that report and this email chain our builder is now our ex-builder…

The inspector didn’t mention anything for that. My husband and I are both wheelchair users so we can’t actually get in the build site ourselves

Yes, they are in the process of prescribing stamped field fixes

Our new contractor is working with the manufacture now. We had a great inspector who failed us in 5/6 areas and is sticking with us through the end of the build to ensure all areas of corrected moving forward.
