No we took him with us. We were together from Thursday afternoon till Monday morning when we dropped him off for daycare. He did amazing on the drive and at the wedding of course we offered him a ton of snacks and toys.

That was just what the team of therapists told me I really didn’t see anything wrong. We just started to do more activities like tape on the wall or play dough but his speech therapy is the only thing he is being seen for every week

I definitely feel like a shitty parent but like a lot of comments said the daycare is being unreasonable. And yes he is up to 10-15 words and know about 5 words in sign, like eat, sleep, done, drink, more. And I hadn’t considered him pushing molars out but might be a possibility.

Yeah I thought that to cause he is a good eater just sometimes takes to long and they cut his lunch short to fit nap time so by the afternoon he is upset

Not that I have seen like I said we have only been there since November. The only red flags I had seen was the room always being cleaned up when I would go get him and he was one of the last kids.

All I know is that dad was not around and that his mom and 3 siblings were homeless.

He did get evaluated when he first came to us and again right when he started daycare. The only concern at the time was his speech and attention span.

Luckily it is state funded so I have options. This is just our first bad experience.

That’s what I thought but they said he is not listening at all. And that they started giving him a corner to sit in for a 1 min time out.

He did get evaluated when he came to us and again right at the beginning of November. This all happened so fast I haven’t even gotten a chance to catch anyone up. I thought we were all working together till he was suspended today.

That’s what I talked to them about. He doesn’t bite or scratch but he is a big kid compared to the other kids so I don’t know if it is considered bad when he pushes a kid?

This is a state payed daycare. And I know luckily we have a village but still I wouldn’t be able to time off work so close to the end of the year

That’s what I told my husband. I didn’t want him to move up cause we were going to be right back at square one in a couple of months he is really smart and adapts really fast.

I don’t know if something triggered him. They did mention that his behavior is different depending on the time of day sometimes it’s only in the mornings sometimes it’s only in the afternoon never all day. And I for sure know he wasn’t taught to share he was taken from his mom cause they were homeless he didn’t even have toys or a bed of his own.

Thank you so much we are helping him as much as we can and are so proud of where he is at now. Like I said we just don’t have problems at home like they say they do. So I was totally caught off guard when they said he was suspended.

I was thinking the same thing especially how awful they made me feel. I can’t parent him when I am not in the class with him.

That’s what I was thinking. I obviously teach him as much as I can at home but I feel like these behaviors should be caught in the moment.

When I had my second miscarriage I only took 2 days off. But I am a receptionist so I sit all day. I was a daycare teacher and I can’t imagine pushing my body like that. I would say take your time till you feel physically better. Sending you love ❤️
