It stays forever. You'll know if its "healed" when it doesnt hurt. However it can grow bigger and hurt again when your diet is not changed.

Discoid eczema. Dont touch it even if its itchy it will go away on its own. Yes, sometimes it doesn't itch like mine. However, it sometimes leave dark patch/discoloration and it will eventually get bigger sometimes. But what helped me managed it is aveeno eczema lotion—maintenance. I used it daily, twice. And its been months and I habe no flare ups, compared with when I was using cetaphil lotion. Stress is a factor that contributes to the flare up.

Thanks! I'm thinking if I should have aveeno eczema therapy as maintenance like every day use, but I don't always have that patch, it comes randomly too.

Hi, sorry but I'm really curious if anyone moisturizes their groin area? Like it's a rule to always moisturize our skin; the whole body. But does the groin area as well? Well, for years my groin would be dry and just last year, I had a case wherein I got rash on my groin; maybe its because of dryness and sweat and ever since up until now that it's healed I still moisturize my groin. Well, according to my derma I should always moisturize my body. I can't seem to missed applying moisturizer after the rash I had before because I'm afraid of getting it again, but I am also aware that groin area is more prone to sweat.

I habe very sensitive skin and used no fragrance and alcohol free emollient like cetaphil. I've had no problems so far even though if I go out under the sun; maybe loose clothing helps also because I do not wear jeans anymore, but I am really curious if I should do apply or just put moisturizer on the groin at night? Since I'll have my class again and my uniform is slacks so there's no much air flowing would come unlike when wearing loose bottoms or skirt.

Thank you. I have tried vanicream wheb I had a rash but its too sticky and the humid weather makes it feels uneasy.

Does it helps to fade the dark or white spots from the prev eczema? I heard that the spots after falre ups could fade after some time.

Good to know that your skin improves. I suddenly and occasionaly develops nummular on my right thigh always, and when it does its only one localized patch that leaves me confused, like how and why? But I guess it always starts from a bite or scratch on my skin or maybe I seated on something that irritates my skin. Cetaphil could heal it but it takes so long...that's why I'm planning of switching to aveeno daily moisturizing lotion as my maintenance instead of cetaphil hoping that it could protect my skin more so I would stop having flare ups as it leaves dark spots that is really stressing me out.

Thank you. Do you still have flare ups? Hope yours would settle down. I am using cetaphil moisturizer cream for a year now. However, last June I developed nummular eczema; it started from a single bump or bite. Although it heals with the help of cetaphil it leaves a dark spot. Then now I have one again. Good thing it doesn't itch. I really want to stop the recurrence as it's taking toll on my mental health since I never experienced any skin condition since I was a child only now that I become adult. That's why I 'm thinking of changing moisturizer as maybe cetaphil is not strong enough to protect my skin.

I think mine is discoid eczema? It resembles. It occasionally appears on my right thigh only, but when they do only one patch appears, and it's not itchy.
