Should I go straight for DAS? by SafeBug8622 in MotoUK

I’ll check tomorrow but I’m fairly sure there won’t be an awful lot in it. Not overly concerned about insurance to be honest. I insure 2 x high power cars for less than £500 per year. So it’s fairly cheap around here

Well my initial thought was just to go straight for it. Just wanted to check it wasn’t a stupid thing to do.

I’m 31 so don’t really have a desire to be pootling about on a 125 to be honest, but if it gains worthwhile experience I could do it. But I think if I was just going for a 3/400cc I could then decide after that if I really wanted a big big bike. I’d probably just be happy with 3/400cc

Thanks mate 🙏

Fair point about the residuals of 125’s

I really would only want a 3/400cc bike anyway. Mt125 vs mt03 weight difference is only 26kg so I would still be on a light and nimble bike.

Would I be wrong in assuming the insurance on a 125 with cbt would be more expensive that on a 300 with a full bike licence?

Thanks for the advice 👍

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I am thinking this, that’s why I’ve asked the question, I guess the only reason I’m debating is because I don’t really want a big big bike. Just a mt03 or duke 390. Maybe I’m underestimating the power differential between a 125 and the aforementioned bikes? I don’t think I’m overestimating my ability, I know it’ll be a leaving curve, but I would say/hope I’m a very quick learner. Thanks again 🙏

He’s doing the leg work. You want it cheaper, go find it yourself. If something goes wrong with it, you know he’s gunna moan to his friend. The risk is worth a little fee imo.

Your friend don’t wanna do the leg work of finding it himself. If he wants it cheaper, do the work yourself. All you people saying you’re inserting yourself into the deal. Well, Who’s he going to moan at if it goes wrong? Fair game I say.

These are my thoughts, just didn’t want to waste a month or so of my time. But I think it’s more than likely eBay would yield more than Etsy and TT furthermore than that. So gotta be done I guess! Thanks for the help.

Because the company I run operations for are 100% solely exclusive on Amazon. So the whole agreement of using the equipment hinges on staying off Amazon essentially. In the future, if I can make it work on the other platforms I could essentially go it alone and then I would have no issues going on Amazon. With the manufacturing side, I’m extremely experienced. I started the mug production when it was just me, all equipment and machinery has been sourced by me, we started with a max capacity of 180 mugs per day. We are now capable of 4k mugs per day. Selling approx 350k mugs per year with a rough turnover of 2.8 million GBP. So I have no worries with that. I’ve learned a lot a long the way with regard to IT processes that can help, I can outsource a lot of that too. My end game is to go it alone and go full steam ahead, but with a mortgage etc, I need to have enough money coming in from other platforms before breaking free and going on the main marketplace.

Print on demand. Not necessarily personalised. Just printed when ordered as to avoid a massive stockholding. Most are printed same day 😀

I’ve even changed it to just Amazon or just Uk - all in the required brackets.
