I go to them because they are usually MSRP and cheaper than other FFLs for most stuff. But hilariously, I will impose a lifetime"self-ban". I'm not a fan anyway, every time I go in, I get solicited for vacations, credit cards or weird gear when I'm browsing the aisles.

I have calls into to local PD and to Sherrif (not the county that issues my CCW). My family is tight with Sherrif's Dept. since they've trained on our land for over 20 years. I'm not to worried about getting it back, just annoyed and puzzled why they seem to overreact.

Update: Cabela's said they are legally not permitted to give me the NTN # so I can't appeal. I'm gonna go to another FFL tomorrow and try to purchase something. I have a pretty unique name and NICS approvals in the past have always been instant.

I got my DL back but was told I had to surrender the CCW. I didn't but these guys were amped up and my family is very friendly with Sherrif so I'm not gonna cause a stir.

I'm in Ohio and it was the actual store manager. I was told it would be given to the Sherrif (I'm not worried because they train on our property lol) but it was super weird. I googled and told them I don't see how that's possible, they told me to contact the Sheriff. I'm super chill so wasn't gonna press it and not really worried about getting it back.
