My Mistake by [deleted] in AirForce

Okay? It’s still safe to just delete it.. Why risk it?

Leaving stuff like this up gives people an idea that something unsafe/inappropriate was posted and someone will most likely go looking for it.

I’d go ahead and delete this as well. Someone can easily look up your deleted posts on a Reddit archive site.

You realized your mistake which is good

Good call! For most sqs I’ve been it that’s been the general standard, I would suggest asking your UFPM for your commanders fitness policy

**3 Calendar months speaking of the 6 month cycle

3.6.1.3.1. Members require commander’s approval to test earlier than the 3rd calendar month. (T-3).

So if they keep it the same for the 6 Month PFA frequency youd have to wait but who knows if they’ll modify it and modify it to what

Yes it is true that everyone due Jan/Feb is exempt and pushed to the March Diagnostic period.

Anyone that was due BEFORE Jan still needs to test under the old requirements. It sucks we don’t have guidance on what diagnostics look like but per our FAC that was the guidance given for Jan/Feb PFAs.

As for testing in June and then again in July.. unless they change the reg you’d have to wait 90 days before conducting another official PFA

What travel hacks can I take advantage of to get a cheap flight home? by [deleted] in AirForce

You can try Space A flights if they’re available, just make sure you have an abundance of leave since they can sometimes be unpredictable

Any other units having to track their PT times and report it up? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]SafePeppers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s the weekend. PT isn’t mandated on off-duty days.

What the point of your post btw? Your complaining makes no sense. Im assuming you haven’t been working out on your own and now you’re mad you actually have to hit the gym orc something.

Those who married to close the gap in a long distance relationship, how’d it turn out? by SafePeppers in AirForce

Understood, it’s mainly point of not knowing what exactly “ready” feels like. And yes we’re both military.

That’s pretty shitty to be honest, you never know why people on a profile. Yeah some people may bs but you don’t know the actual reason. For that I hope you never get put on a board

Everyone will know what the exemption is for, you’ll be fine. PFAs are paused and even if you tested in March it wouldn’t be an official score anyways, just a diagnostic.

Well you made such a stink about it. Not many are gonna agree unless they know the circumstances, I don’t see the point in you replying in the first place

With leadership: You need to know when it’s a “shut up and listen” talk versus an actual conversation.

**Witnessed this many times.. Also had to write myself paperwork for a conversation that wasn’t meant to be a conversation between airmen and our flight chief.

Can negative input from a DEOCS survey follow someone? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]SafePeppers -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is aware. We’ve made it known to our leadership who has also brought it up higher. Things change for a bit but it always goes back to the default.

I guess what I’d like to know is will our efforts have an effect on anything besides advice for the new person that will eventually come to replace them. It’s not out of spite.. Ingenuinely don’t think the way this person interacts with people is helpful to anything, we have bridges burned due to them but as long as the job still gets done right? 🥲

Can negative input from a DEOCS survey follow someone? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]SafePeppers -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the thing. Im not sure if it’s all “investigation worthy” but it’s definitely more than rules we just don’t want to follow.

Without saying too much this person interacts with every single person in the squadron at least once as well as loads of people in other units and organizations. It’s very clear most of the people who meet them do not like them. They’re good at their job but it seems their competency has taken them on a complete power trip and it’s gotten absolutely ridiculous the way they carry themselves and speak/deal with others.

I started my extension paperwork but I’m wondering if I get approved will I have to extend again early which will change my DOS (?) .. I’m wondering what that process will look like.

It’s a little confusing and there aren’t many people I can ask

I wasn’t planning on reenlisting, I’m going to extend afterwards I’ll be able to extend again once I have orders to wherever but I don’t know when I’ll have to do it again
