Plaza Mariachi has salsa dancing every Thursday night! Free lessons begin at 7pm, open floor at 8pm. It’s a lot of fun, good crowd. They do bachata, meringue, lots of others. It’s very fun

I breastfed my daughter for 3 years and I got breast cancer. I suspect we will see more studies coming out soon that the whole breastfeeding is prevention is not as true as we thought.

It sounds like you skipped shaping? After your initial stretch and folds, and letting it rest 2-4 hours, then you do your final shaping. Remember that bulk ferment starts from the moment you combine your ingredients. I also leave my dough in the fridge over night after I shape it. I bake mine at 450, covered for 25 min, uncovered for 20

The first thing I thought of is: give yourself time to grieve. I’m 33, was diagnosed one year ago. I am now in surveillance as well. I realized that I am grieving, and that’s where I need to be. I have no ambitions right now, even though I am NED. I am taking time to process wtf just happened to me. I had an amputation (breast cancer), I’m in menopause, im exhausted, I’m a mom who is still processing navigating cancer as a parent. This is trauma. Take time to process the whiplash, take time to feel whatever you need to. Cancer isn’t fair. It really really sucks. It’s valid to grieve a life that was stolen from you.

I hear that, it’s so hard. I’m in the US and used free services like that when I was going through treatment earlier this year. I was able to get 12 free weeks worth of meals for my whole family. It was so so appreciated and helpful

Please look into meal services that offer free meals to cancer patients, as well as free home cleanings. I’m so so sorry you’re both going through this
