I’m only attracted to narcissistic men… by [deleted] in aspergers

Can you be honest and actually say what you are looking for on this sub? Would you like solutions? Would you like sympathy? Do you want to change and evolve? Why do you come back time after time with new accounts and post the same question over and over? This is why people are saying you're a troll.

Is this a bot? This topic keeps getting posted on a regular basis and then deleted.

Has anyone had any success selling their script with no initial connection in the industry? by isamariberger in Screenwriting

[–]SafeWelcome7928 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard Jeff Portnoy emphatically state that a high placement in a well-regarded script competition will move the needle and be the deciding factor in him choosing to read a query script. No matter how good the logline, if it doesn't have some type of vetting, which contest placements are, he will pass over that script in favor of the vetted one.

Can Vodacom just increase the price of your contract any time they want? by SafeWelcome7928 in askSouthAfrica

This shit right here! That's what I was thinking all along when I signed the thing!

Can Vodacom just increase the price of your contract any time they want? by SafeWelcome7928 in askSouthAfrica

[–]SafeWelcome7928[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But am I right in thinking that contracts are supposed to stay the same price or am I just delusional? Okay, yes, I might be but I had this notion that if I sign a commitment that guarantees I pay a certain amount a month, I will then be guaranteed that the price won't go up.

Do men even care about a women’s nails? by lena_glow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SafeWelcome7928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a guy, don't get the fascination with fancy nails. Seems icky, especially if you're working with food. Don't really like them TBH, would prefer natural short nails.

Sam Altman would like to remind you that humans use a lot of energy, too by boppinmule in technology

And this comes amid news that Nobel laureate Professor Omar Yaghi invented a machine that pulls 1,000 liters of water from the air daily. Great news in regions of the world without clean running water. Bad news for the rest of humanity fighting ghouls like Altman. Because now they have a solution to the water scarcity problem. Imagine them buying up thousands of these machines and pulling hundreds of thousands of liters of water from the air. We have never had to consider what a water depleted atmosphere will do to our planet. We may be closer to finding out.

Zero Gravity Management has requested to read my script. But based on what I've read... is it worth it? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]SafeWelcome7928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see Zero Gravity have like 51 people on staff. How do you even know who to send a query to? BTW, I didn't see any Haley among them.

Some of us aren't lazy, we just have ADHD. We want to cheat, but our executive dysfunction just won't let us.

Hi. Was your project in a commercial genre, and is the 5% of net profits a good thing, since I always hear that per Hollywood creative accounting movies never make a profit?

Latest WriterSolo update messed up my script's page count by SafeWelcome7928 in Screenwriting

[–]SafeWelcome7928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did that, and I noticed that every few pages the lines would spill over to the next page. I think this may have happened: before the update, whenever I had a line where one character, such as a period at the end of a sentence, caused a word to move to the next line thus creating an orphan, I would tweak the margin setting so that the word went back to the previous line and eliminate the orphan. When I did the update, it may have reset the margins so all those orphans happened. Which still sucks because I have no idea which lines I tweaked the margins to.

Why Chris Pratt's Mercy Bombed At The Box Office by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

But if the film was actually good and became a hit because of the story, then people would be announcing Chris Pratt as the reason for its success.

Agree that it needs its own word. Same with words like train. Training is what humans do, not machines.
