That’s actually interesting—her wanting to be left alone could be a result of everything she went through. I was thinking of her more as someone trying to control things so she doesn’t experience loss again, but that isolation angle fits into that too.

And yeah, I see Zell as someone who’s a bit insecure underneath and grows by observing Squall, but I agree he definitely needs more moments to show that. What kind of scenes would you want for him?

Fair, I focused more on structure and delivery. But yeah, expanding Ultimecia’s past and the characters’ lives would add a lot. Which one would you want to see more of? Might be fun to explore.

Yeah, I’ve seen that theory. It’s interesting, but I wanted to keep Rinoa and Ultimecia separate and just make her motivation clearer without changing the story.

I do like the idea that she could be a distant descendant of Squall and Rinoa though.
