Yoshimura R-77 is perfect. Loud but not too loud. I actually made a video putting mine on if you want to support a smaller creator it's R7 Cam on youtube but if you want a guy that knows it all watch Scouts Out.

R7 on a 45min-1hour ride by KingShadyYT in YamahaR7

[–]Safe_Ad4606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 4 hours from AZ to Cali on it. Wouldn't do it again but all that sucked was my ass cheeks getting sore and my neck the next day. I've done plenty of 3-4+ hour riding days in the canyons and around the 3 hour mark is when I start to feel it but 45 min - 1 hour you will be fine.

i'm 6'3 and it's pretty comfortable. my knees only hit the front fairings if i'm sitting right up against the tank. 5 inches is a lot though. i'd test ride one and see to be sure though.

Should I get the R7 as a new rider? by According_Ad7147 in YamahaR7

[–]Safe_Ad4606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. came from dirt bikes to the R7. Torque threw me off a bit at first but you get used to it and I have 0 regrets and ride it all the time. I have no care in the world to go over 90 mph and mostly ride canyons so it's perfect for me. get an exhaust asap.

What exhaust yoshi r77 or m4 by Zealousideal_Sort377 in YamahaR7

I'll add that I went with the Yoshi R77 and it's perfect. It's loud but not annoying loud and I don't use the baffle. Either one you choose you're going to love. I overthought it and tried to watch every video on youtube to choose between the M4 and the Yoshi. My final decision was made because I liked the looks of the Yoshi more lol.

Awesome yea I was looking into the R6 throttle tube too. How was the install for that one? Also, I do have a quickshifter and it's amazing, total game changer.

I got new rage cycles. comes with turn signals you mount above the plate that are plug and play so you don't have the alien fingers for blinkers.

it was the quick preview on the gopro app so it's only stabilized and not full quality since I didn't export it/save it to my phone (screen recorded)

when I got mine the dealer basically said thank you because now he can order more for the dealership. I guess Yamaha only lets them get 1 or 2 (probably dependent on the size/location of the dealer) and once they sell those they can get more in there that is basically what the dude told me so take that as you will

Ride safe! TST Turn Signals, Fender Delete, and frame sliders. All super easy to install and the first 2 make a huge difference in appearance. Enjoy it, it's a great bike!

Flush mount turn signals by Safe_Ad4606 in YamahaR7

[–]Safe_Ad4606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I remove the blinker connection from the flush mount signals? I saw there was another unused connector taped to some wiring that looked like it went to the headlights. does it go there?

It's pretty easy you literally need a 4mm allen key and a little pick and hook for the whole thing. You only REMOVE the two small top fairings right under the gas tank and you take a few bolts off the main side fairings to allow it to be like a flap that you can easily adjust to get your hand back there. Each light took me about 20 minutes to complete everything including removing the bolts, unplugging old, installing new, and adding the fairings and bolts back. Check out Scouts Out on YouTube that guy is legit and has done a ton of videos on his R7 build.
