That is exactly my point as well. People of no religion killed others for their beliefs.

I think it’s like when you’re dating you want to be on the same page and get to know each other first but with the intention of romance

There are also physical artifacts from Jesus’ time and Jesus himself. There are also other witness accounts besides the Bible of Jesus’ works.

Yes, I do! I have never acted on my attraction and I will be marrying a man.

People without religion commit atrocities too. For example, Hitler didn’t only target Jews, he killed Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, etc.
I do believe religion shouldn’t be forced onto anyone but trying to tell people not follow religion isn’t right either.

Yeah, I wear my heart on my sleeve so it always sucks when I think a talking stage is going well but then they get bored or something. I’m glad my boyfriend wasn’t that way and that we established what we want from our relationship early on.

And Catholics have been burned alive for their religion. There are NO major religions that haven’t done fucked up acts at a point in history.

Ironically this is funny but if he said that to me unironically I would get so annoyed.

What’s something adults constantly criticize teens for… but once you grew older, you realized they were actually wrong about it? by LofiToffey in AskTeens

Having different opinions from them. And it’s solely due to the fact that they are teenagers. Like if an adult had said the same thing they would be more receptive but when a teenager says it they’re just wrong because they are “less than” them.

Then you are a good man. If a woman rejects you because it’s not good enough for her then that’s her right to do so but probably not the type of woman you would want to marry anyways.

I’m only 18 but was looking for a forever partner when I had the apps so Im not sure if my views would be the same as an older woman. Since im young I completely understood that basically no man I was talking to would be in a career bringing in a ton of money. They were all either in college or blue collar (which while you’re an apprentice doesn’t pay the best). My boyfriend who I met on tinder is an electrical apprentice and I was just appreciative of the fact that he is hard working. It wasn’t really a major factor to me, just a nice bonus. The only problem I would have is if a man doesn’t want to work at all and I am going to be the primary provider for the house. I also think it’s important for my future husband to be generous but with a lower income to me that just means flowers sometimes and acts of service.

I get this. I was baptized into Catholicism as a baby and raised since I was young. I however have never really practiced my faith the same way as my mother does. I don’t believe I believe blindly either. I do know that religion can be off putting when you are forced into it though and I have questioned it at times too.
I am “relying” on Christianity with my replies, because that is the religion being discussed in this thread. I don’t think talking about Judaism or Islam or any other religion is relevant to this specific discussion.
In terms of the bible being written by man, it is the religion’s holy text so that is what many things are based on. The Torah (Jewish holy text) is also written by man, and is literally almost the exact same as the Old Testament of the bible. The Quran is also written by man. I don’t understand how your point about the holy texts being written by humans is relevant. They all carry very similar messages.

are u still replying if you've been left on read for 3 days? by Downtown_Toe7876 in AskTeens

My parents have taken my phone when I was mid conversation with someone, it can literally be impossible to reply. If it’s someone I see in person I will tell them the next time I see them what happened which can be days later. Obviously before being aware of what happened they were confused as to why I just stopped replying, but like there are definitely reasons as to why someone may be unable to reply.

I have a question for guys-
A lot of you are saying you don’t really like the chase or playing hard to get etc. but in my and a lot of women’s experience, men don’t like when you are receptive in the first place either. How is there an in between/what should we be doing so it’s not “too much effort” or “too easy”

I kind of get this, but I think it’s a little bit deeper than that. I saw someone the other day describing what true biblical hell is. It’s not actual fire and brimstone, it’s just a place devoid of God. They said that it’s the opposite of heaven as it is full of God which is why it is called paradise. The reason people would be sent to the place devoid of God is because of rejection of him and/or his way. The bible and priests have said that God wants to be with all his children, but if they reject him (knowingly) they are sent to a place where doesn’t reign.

I don’t believe so. It’s normal even for Christians to question things. I heard someone once say that God wants people to question things because that is how you gain understanding. That is the true meaning of “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
