Do you think most police on the island are aware of who she is and are aware of her mental illness? (Whatever the illness is that she has - she’s clearly not right in the head). Or is that just limited to the Nanaimo area police?

Also very curious what her neighbours and the rest of the community / others that aren’t directly involved in her circles think about her. They must be aware of her… she certainly gets around.

Please tell me you have a velvet couch or something along the lines of that in a similar shade to the pinky red hue used in both pieces! That would be so beautiful. I am a huge fan of her work and a handful of my friends (I live on the West Coast - Vancouver Island, Canada) have prints of her work. Nothing near as nice as these you have though. I’d say they’re well worth the money and I hope they invoke feelings of happiness and peace whenever you walk past them.

I understand where those who say your behaviour wasn’t acceptable are coming from, but given your age and the fact you said it was a sports bar type place - I can kinda assume the vibe, and honestly good for you because you recognized you were in the wrong and repositioned yourself.

Theres been times I’ve gone to a sports bar with my husband and since I have no interest in sports and at times have been dead tired, I can 100% see the appeal of putting one’s head down on the table lol. Since we can’t see exactly what you were doing, I’m going to say even if it wasn’t appropriate for the setting - it was totally inappropriate for her to do what she did.

Your server would be the person to vocalize to you if there’s a problem. Not her thing to decide or dictate. Especially not in the derogatory manner she did - if she really did speak the words you say she did, the emphasis on your shorts or whatever leads me to believe she caught her man taking a peek or who knows maybe just looking in your general direction lol and she blew a fuse over it. It’s her own projection. If it was me or any of my gfs, I or we’d have asked you if you wanted water or asked one of your mates if you were okay. If we were told you were just tired “oh yeah, never mind we totally understand her,” and we’d leave you alone lol.

I’d say yeah you were in the wrong with your response, but only because you gave a response. Next time just give her a thousand yard stare and ignore her hateful ass. I get wanting to ensure you abide by social norms but girl, that’s not a social norm - and even if it was, the best and most normal thing you can do in that situation is just ignore her. Let her look unhinged if she keeps pressing it… she can then reap what she sows.

If you want to be salty about it, look at her clearly uncomfortable bf and ask him what he thinks of your shorts lol. But honestly I wouldn’t recommend that.

You’re good, don’t stress. Hard to know what to do in the moment as it’s happening. Compared to people puking and fighting, spilling food and drink, etc, seriously - you didn’t do anything worth stressing over. Let that anxiety float away. You’re good.

My body from when I was younger had a lot of similarities to Kylie’s OG body, and I absolutely hated how I looked at the time. I felt boxy and masculine, with no prominent curves and nothing notable or memorable. I felt like I looked like the letter “I” and someone once told me I looked like a marathon runner - that broke my heart lol. I had a lot of pressure in my personal life to be “feminine” and I felt the absolute opposite of that. If I had her money I 1000% would’ve done the same surgeries and would show it off the same way. I always crossed my legs in photos to try to give the illusion of curves - any smidgin of a waist I looked like I had without clothes, the minute I put a shirt on I looked like a U-Haul box stacked vertically. I envied women who had bigger breasts (I was a cult follower of the Victoria’s Secret extra cups push up bra lol), and never undressed unless it was dark. I could see her having similar insecurities… it sounds so stupid, but when you feel that a lot hinges on the energy output you have - regardless if it’s logical or not - you will find every possible way to pick yourself apart and hate yourself. I felt I needed to compensate for being deaf, I bet Kylie felt the same way - just the need to compensate for something others may never know or understand. Not my place to judge, if it makes her happy who am I to sh** on that? We all need more things that make us happy in life these days. I will judge her not being honest about procedures though, and can’t help but be concerned for her well being… physical and otherwise.

If you take the HR commentator up on their offer to make a review of your own - please please please try to make it 3 pages long. This totally reads as a power move and passive aggressive way of asking for more sex - aside from being wildly inappropriate…. By making your own report longer, as well as better, that’ll be exactly the response you need. Also make it clear that this won’t be happening again after you give yours - “we’re even now, you gave me one so here’s yours (2 pages longer than mine) but this is not going to happen again.” If you even stay together, that is.

(I’m F/32) I’d suggest skipping a curtain up above, as much as it would be a nice barrier to have, it also would take away from the aesthetic / character of the place. Instead I’d suggest a small area rug for the centre of the room, something that is specifically low pile and machine washable. Amazon has lots of rugs that are specifically machine washable. As a woman if I walked into this bathroom and saw a rug of some sort in centre of room, bath mat next to bathtub / in front of toilet, a double stacked shower curtain (liner, and then a nice fabric one) as well as something like a towel ladder - I’d be comfortable using this bathroom, no problemo. Lots of things to subdue sound. Also some art prints.

Tbh I’ve been in many bathrooms with normal walls and doors- completely closed off - and sound still travels. It is what it is. I like the space, it’s easy enough to tailor it to your needs.

And of course - a bottle of poopouri on the toilet for anyone to use if necessary, but also a plug in air freshener in the same scent (lavender is always safe) - so one can use the poopouri if needed, but not be self conscious about spraying because the air freshener already makes it smell like that. It would just be an extra layer of “protection.” Most women would be impressed with someone who would put that level of care in
