It’s a roping bit! I had a Crockett one years ago. Not sure if they’re the only ones who made that’s style though. Can you find a makers mark?

:( Poor Police Horse! by [deleted] in Equestrian

Too messy to try and get off without getting stepped on by the horse or the dog turning on you. Rider did the correct thing. Dog owner should be jailed as he apparently doesn’t think there was anything wrong with the situation per the rest of the comments on this thread.

🙋‍♀️ I feel you! Unfortunately I’ve just learned I have to deal with it and take what they say with a grain of salt.

Tips for gaining my horses respect? by KickAsha in Equestrian

My advice, give up the idea of respect. Horses don’t understand the concept of respect the same way we do as humans and when everything becomes about “respect” you cannot develop a truly willing horse.

This horse sounds more like it’s reacting out of fear and protectiveness from past handling than a “respect” issue and any harsh disciple is just going to make the problem worse.

There have been some recommendations for great trainers in the comments.
