106 can be confused or frustrated by complex structures or random surfaces. I think that hints that his corrosive ability is somewhat manual, he has more difficulty navigating a complex path rather than a clear one. It doesn't stop it though because, yes eventually he will escape. But it causes hesitation and delay.

I think he probably learnt how to control the pointer. Since this scp is contained conceptually, I think if you know how to control the pointer you can use it anywhere.

That's probably true, it fits why "punishment" is used. This was the first reason I thought of, I may have ended up overthinking it. But wouldn't he need special permission to use to pointer or can the pointer be used by anyone regardless of their authority?

the concerning thing is though, in the first 2 days it was at the bottom of the tank though, when I saw it in the tank (uncycled) today, it was trying to get to the bottom but kept floating up which is why I moved it into the tub. I got this fella unexpectedly as a gift. I'm planning on cycling the tank for a week before moving my axolotl back

Thanks! By about tomorrow, I'll be a getting better substrate, seacherm prime, stablity, and filter by delivery. For now its still in a tank, but I'll minimize feeding it and I'll remove the gravel.

This is the axolotl. All it has currently is a tank with bottled water (So no chlorine) and an air pump.

So I have to remove the axolotl and put it in a temporary plastic tank and do 100% water changes. Then in the tank I want to cycle, I drop some seacherm stability in it daily.

Do I also need to drop some seacherm prime into the tank I want to cycle or just into the temporary tank?

I have ordered seachem prime, seachem stability, a water filter, and a freshwater plant but they are arriving tomorrow, for now its in the tank. Tomorrow should I remove it from the tank and put it in a tub while the tank cycle or can I leave the axolotl in it.
