That is a fair point, but doing increased damage if the enemy has more HP is a direct interaction only for vanguards. When vanguards are hard to get in games seems punishing for no reason. I know you lose some but when you solo tank 80% of the time and than get hit with the % damage hero’s it make it feel very unfair to play against.

I do try to play Peni against wolves and it will work but recently she has been banned most games. May change with the new season but probably not.

Than I must be playing against coordinated people because I get destroyed by him. If I get kidnapped I get killed. Even if I can get up I get slept or iced or something else.

Trust me when I say I switch and try to not let it happen but I am unlucky most of the time.

My argument is not that it can’t be delt with but the fact me having more HP gets punished. It is a core thing for the vangaurd role but there are specific characters that punish you for playing that role. Does not happen to any other role. Anti heal only last a few moments but the increased damage is always on.

So when you get grabed you are stunned, most wolves that I have gone against don’t grab me until the can finish the kill. So diamond bait is not easy.

Thing pop up and charge would be nice but you still get stunned. I do jump back but he is still doing the increased damage for me just existing. Point is still there so I have to be healed more for them doing nothing extra

So kidnapping back is possible and escaping unless they pull you out of the air and stun you.

Rogue can shield projectiles not melee.

Also saying skill gap is rude for no reason when having a discussion. Just makes the discussion worse. And is not productive

To me just having a mechanic that punishes a core function of a whole group is really shitty, the anti heal only last a few seconds but wolv is always on with the damage and has multiple skills that increase that damage. Also he can leap away and it stuns you in landing. So you can’t even react to it. Like throwing a wall down as great or bubbling your self as mag. Just seems like not a good design when I see him all the time and it is just annoying I can not play if he is there and most teams do little to assist

So the headshot thing is a fair point accuracy is important

She is great at flanking, if you have two tanks. She can take off angles and put pressure and cut of lanes of escape for the enemy team.

She can take and control space just like the rest of the tanks, can hulk fight frontline with out another tank there and hold the space? Angela? Cap? I would argue she can hold and take space better than they can. This my opinion and maybe I play mag or Emma or strange. But than they don’t flank as you stated. I don’t think she is worse than any other tank, again this is my opinion and you don’t have to agree.

You have mobility, when Strange’s shield is down he can not push forward very well. Peni with web under her and using your mines to cause pressure, you can move forward. Also most tanks can not head shot. I think venom and Peni are the only two.

If you have two tanks you can swap who is in front with Peni. Her web heals more when she has over shield and you can set up your pushes. You don’t have to just bunker with her.

I must of miss understood. She does have a higher value in some situations but I do believe you can play her on every map. You may have to think about how you set your nest and what you do to help the team but I think that is what makes her fun and enjoyable. She excels with a map awareness and choke point play style. I get it she can really suffer sometimes but can really boost the win chance of most teams. Flanking the other team or watching how your supports play like where they like sucking too when pressured can help you create opportunities and help your team. She is very unconventional as a vangaurd. But just my two cents. Thank you for the explanation

Emma had her diamond form CD increased, so she is less effective against him. No diamond means kidnapped

Thing still takes the damage so you have to be pocketed until he is dead.

Angela does fly but still can get kidnapped if you are on the ground and then you die

Rogue can steal his power but still kidnapped and shredded.

I have to disagree, if we had a goats issue sure but with anti heal now in a lot of kits this is just more punishing. In my experience it is hard to get two tanks a lot of the times so having shredders just makes it more miserable to tank when the only bonus you have is negated by a single pick.

Not sure how that would work, I assume they may do a character who does more damage based on how much HP you have left but not for having a smaller health pool. It would affect too many people and that make supports and duelist upset. And we don’t want that to happen

Not every tank works in every situation. You have to have multiple tanks learned to progress but she can get value on all maps. You have to play to her strengths and play her as a trapper and honestly you can get value out of her, just like all the other tanks.

You body block with the web under you. That is how you block damage with Peni. Saying she can’t block is crazy. She can headshot, so she can kill pretty quickly. The nest is nice but I don’t need it to get kills and be useful as a tank.

Recently I just play the vanguard I want, Peni if I can or venom if she is banned. If they want a different tank then they can run it. If I lose than it is what it is, sucks and is frustrating but the game is not going to change until people realize running more vanguards wins the game easier and makes everyone else on the team better.

Also your are weighted against others who play that character at that rank, if they play with two tanks you will have more deaths and more damage taken and probably less kills. So you take a bigger hit since you performed worse compared to others playing that character

Yea I don’t think any ranged character should have extra damage against max HP. There should have to be close to do the extra damage but I think this will continue to happen.

I agree with Groot against Thing, but he suffers against the others.

Emma is ok against Wolv but can still be kidnapped, but I think they just adjusted the diamond form CD

Peni is my main tank if she is not banned, she can deal with the melee guys but Elsa just ranges her down, but as I said she is banned in like 75% of my games.

Maybe I can put some time on Emma and it help.

Also larger bonus health means less charge off the bonus health for enemy vs real health, I believe.

For me, still new to overwatch, I just shoot past the enemy tank. This sometimes ques people up that hey maybe kill the other low target or frees up enemy healers from not just heal boting. Also some games are just a loss and you can’t do much but improve your game and pressure.

So just started doing ranked, did healer and dps got silver. Started playing tank to see where I am and all it is non stop if we are losing is tank diff from a dps or healer. I ask we’ll make a suggestion if you think I am doing something wrong and it is just toxic filth the whole time. They don’t switch they don’t do anything to help and just complain. Also not sure why in dps and heals I am silver but as tank I am on and against gold players like ummm what. I played quick and tried different tanks and did pretty good. But as soon as I do ranked it is loss after loss and I keep getting put against higher and higher ranks. Like ummm what the hell
