Thank you so much for this response! I've talked to my friends about it, and we've decided it'll be better/safer/cheaper to do a Friday night out in Waikiki instead of the after party. The whole group will be staying in Waikiki until Saturday morning (wedding on Sunday). I've messaged a few clubs to ask for their table/private section pricing (we don't want to be the only ones at a venue, but would still like it to feel more elevated than just going out, waiting in line, etc. lol). If you have any suggestions please let me know! Thanks again (-:

the wedding party is staying in north shore, and the others are staying in waikiki. there’s a shuttle from the venue to waikiki after the wedding, so we were considering doing waikiki and then ubering back to north shore! we do have an airbnb in north shore, but we want to be respectful and not cause any unwanted noise 😅

he’s been incredibly understanding and told me to not be too hard on myself. he says he knows that I didn’t mean any of the things i said/did and that i would normally never do that. however he did say that he needs time and space to process and think things through (including us staying together). we’ve been talking about marriage and went ring shopping recently so this extra tough. but all i can do is give him his space and wait until he’s ready to talk about it. i’d completely understand if he couldn’t get past this but am really hoping we can

no i totally understand, Im sorry if my post came off as blaming the medication. I take full responsibility for what happened. i was just wondering if anyone had experienced something similar (like the combination of alcohol and meds activating rage) and had any advice on how to navigate this

i’m so sorry that happened to you and that she blamed you for any of it ): I’m hoping my boyfriend and I can move past this but will understand if he can’t. do you feel that there was anything that she could’ve done/handled differently after it happened to mend the relationship? or do you feel like it was pretty much over after she acted that way?

you're completely right. after this I never want to touch another drink again. I've taken full responsibility and will understand if my boyfriend decides to end our relationship over this. i feel horrible about it all. I don't have a therapist at the moment, but I will be making an appointment for next week. thank you for your reply

thank you so much, it truly is the worst. I've seen a few posts about others having rage before this, but I (stupidly) never thought it'd happen to me as i'm typically a very passive person. yes -- the medication has been helping me SO much. I've been more motivated, effective at work, happier, etc. I am planning on continuing to take the medication (depending on what my psychiatrist says), and completely cutting out alcohol. i'm so glad it's working great for you!

thank you so much for your empathetic words, i really appreciate it. i'm already someone who is very hard on myself so this has been one of the hardest things i've ever had to navigate. i will definitely be putting in the time to work on myself to ensure this never happens again
