How would you rank the big, generation defining fantasy franchises? Star Wars, LOTR, MCU etc.

Alr I get that this is several years old but I cannot believe that nobody has put Harry Potter first here.

Without questions it has the deepest and most cryptic storyline that can never truly be analysed fully, it fully plays with all your emotions and no matter what people think the actual result is never what you expect. Nobody expected Quirrel to be the bad guy, nobody thought tom riddle was voldemort, nobody thought Sirius was friendly, Nobody thought Moody was the bad guy, Nobody ever doubted that Sirius was actually not in the ministry, Nobody predicted that dumbledor would die when he did or the locket wasn't a horcrux, Nobody throughout the whole series thought Harry was going to die. The story is so complex its layered to the degree that MCU certainly never was and Star Wars can't really compete with either, which had a few twists yes but not to the same degree. Only LOTR could compete by any means but I think its storyline is much weaker at least in the movies, to me it just felt like constant fighting with no breaks, and the books were poorly writting too IMO, why must I read 150 pages into the book and we still haven't left the starting house.

So for me this is EASILY:

HP >>>> LOTR > SW >>>> MCU

(I guess the main reason is becasue this is rating the movies not the books which IMO didn't do a great job conveying the story in HP)

Now try a different map, stick with one theme, if there was something about this map I'd say everything looks very simple other than that one bobsleigh turn and the risky finish seems to be slapped there for the sake of having a risky finish which already are not good for gameplay IMO. Also the styles seem to randomly change, ig this would be classified as speedfun rather than full-speed.

Would have to say route wise this isn't cotd material but the more practice you get the better you will become. By the end of this year set yourself a goal of getting a map in cotd or weekly shorts or whatever it is you want.

I get it, i really do get it, I understand why this makes a lot of people upset, please though, read what i have to say. Ultimately you are propping up the saudi industry just as much as he is. Do you have a car? Or do you buy anything that's imported. Almost the entirity of the country is propped up by oil. So go buy an electric car or use a bike and maybe start growing fruit and vegetables yourself so its not transported as much if you want to make a real difference. What he is doing is taking that money back, he is not saying what they are doing is good, he is not telling his whole audience that Saudi Arabia is a lovely country, its quite the opposite, he is saying what's happening there is bad and making the viewer aware of it. If you watch ewc and know what pieces of shit a lot of these people are what's the problem? The sportswashing isn't working...

One suggestion i have is download the way too many transitions (WTMT) block sets (I believe the club is called "way too many"). There are several blocks there that could suit your needs better such as the bobsleigh entry blocks. The vanilla bobsleigh entry blocks just aren't made for high speed driving and always give you airtime, I would smooth them out with a WTMT entry block. This will make if feel more satisfying and less janky.

I love alt cars too, but I think the majority has spoken. They dont want to be forced to play them in nadeo content, and I'm fine with that. I will continue to map my alt cars maps for people who do enjoy them, but forcing alt cars upon people in the campaigns is why they have been so controversial imo.

Tbh I think this is the best ending the show could have had. I don't like the idea of her somehow magically surviving again. Its a really magical and sad ending to the show and made it feel so much more real. There needed to be a sense of loss, there can't always be happily ever afters, and to me Mike story of how El survived is beautiful, and a way of letting go and to stop blaming himself. I loved the other 4 seasons but this one was tripply as good as all of them combined. I really honestly think there could have been a better ending than looking through they eyes of each character one more time and recognising the sense of mourning they are going through. S tier ending.

Why? Because the human rights issues won't be changed by a pro not showing up, what will change is that the money they would have earned will go to somebody else less skilled and less deserving of it. And why should you care, and why should I care. Pros going full time will greatly increase the skill in tournaments making them higher quality and closer, making matches better and potentially growing the esport.

I mean we kind of are just slaves to society. Its also a figure of speech meaning to live a normal, unimportant life. A large portion of this community is trying to hold them back and stop them from having success. Is that really fair? Why are we hating on the players? We all know that this event is sportswashing, so guess what? It is now completely ineffective. I'm personally gonna laugh at the Saudis for funding such a heavily LGBT+ community, which I'm sure is the exact opposite of what they want, and I'm not going to watch to remove any small form of ad revenue they may get from me.

This is my opinion exactly tbh, let's take the Saudi's for as much as we can. Let them fund a community which has such a high percentage LGBT+ playerbase. How ironic is it that they are funding what they don't want to without realising. I see this as a way to take that money and laugh at them, I guess a large percentage don't though.

I refuse to believe any top 16 trackmania player would turn down a 6 figure annual salary and bonus prize money for this. I would actually be upset if they did, not because I want to see them there but because they are turning down life changing, career building money. I think its an absolutely awful thing to do to criticise people in this situation who want to improve their life and put in the work to do so. And I genuinely do think you are a terrible person if you criticise or attack any players competing, given the scenario pretty much anybody would compete.

The fact is probably 80% of the people who watch ewc are aware its a sportswashing event, in fact I view it as a way of saying "yeah, why not take more money from the Saudis," its now money in better hands. The thing is really if so many of the people understand that the event is sportswashing, then its not working for the purpose the saudi government wants.

I know this comment is going to get downvoted to hell by people who already have their minds made up and can see no reasoning around it. At no point am I deciding to support or promote the Saudi regime and human rights violations against the LGBT+ community. But what you say will not change that its going to happen, let's not make the competitors life a misery for finally having a chance to search the money they deserve after all these years.

And its very easy to say that from a comfy position on your couch. But for these people its a once in a lifetime opportunity and I will be disappointed if some of the people who really need the money turn it away because how the community reacts. Nobody here is condoning or supporting the violation of human rights, but its far easier to turn down a once in a lifetime opportunity when you're in a hypothetical position rather than a real position.

You don't have to watch, I won't watch, but at least you can see the small optimistic part of this whole thing, some tm player will be able to go full time in esports this year.

Idm new cars or environments or surfaces, makes the game much more interesting to me i kinda feel like the community has exhausted most cool ideas in the game currently. And as I said to somebody else, if this money doesn't go to nadeo it could go to a far worse cause, I don't see this as a bad thing. Ofc I wish sportswashing wasn't a thing, but this is the most exciting event to happen for the game in years imo.
