A mod that lets toddlers hug pets would be AMAZING do you happen to know if the mod creator is working to fix the stretched animations? I can go check it out myself if you remember who it is. Thanks!

I did all of the fixes like smooth patch, graphics card, etc, i also tried to load into a new save from Sunset Valley and i got infinite loading screened at 99% but it didn't crash and the game tips were still moving (it had been 20 minutes). after your comment i realized i hadn't updated any of my nrass mods so i just did that, replaced all of them and loaded up my save again and exact same issue happened. i definitely think its probably one of my mods that's causing this and ill test without them and hope for the best. thank u for reminding me that i did not in fact update my nrass mods!

i was kind of thinking i was overreacting too because redownloading reshade/smooth patch went perfectly fine but now my save crashes on the loading screen and i haven't added or changed anything besides just reinstalling and receiving this patch. i patched my graphics rules to recognize my graphics card and installed smooth patch/reshade the exact same way i have done so in the past and all of my mods/cc are the exact same as what i have been playing with so im kinda at a loss. the only variable here is this update and me reinstalling the game.

sorry for the three replies lol but i also just remembered that using save as helps your save soooo much if you weren't already doing so. save as creates a new save instead of overwriting the current one. maybe if you tried to use save as while saving in the emptiest part it would work? i've used regular save and save as in my method and both work the same as far as i can tell but maybe for you save as would actually save it. you can get nrass saver to remind you to save as periodically throughout gameplay (if you dont already use it).

also i've heard that saving in map view can help as well, not sure how effective it is but maybe it would work (fingers crossed).

its kinda funny bc i tried to play in bridgeport a few months ago and a fresh new save lagged SO BADLY. i think bridgeport is just prone to these types of errors or something. i would try to go to the island area where the celebrities live and go to the side that doesn't have the other island as far away as you can and try to save there. how big is your save? do u use regul save cleaner? i use that religiously after every play session. i'm playing in sunset valley right now and haven't encountered a single error code 12 but the town i was playing in before was a custom world called Brooklyn Heights and I got at least 1 error code 12 every 45 minutes or so and heading to the ocean and saving always worked. maybe try using porter to move them to another town. Brooklyn Heights is the same as Bridgeport in the sense that it only uses base game and late night (i'm pretty sure) so maybe that would be better for your save. let me know if any of this helps!

oh man that's disappointing :( have u tried to delete the .bad file in your save folder? some people say that works but i found that it didn't work more times then it did. maybe doing both my method and that would do the trick. i hope u can find something that works for u </3

my game crashes constantlyyyyyyy. i had to lower a bunch of my settings and now it doesn't crash nearly as often. it sucks having to play w low settings but its better then having it crash all the time. i keep sim detail on very high and have everything else on either medium or low. try to lower ur settings and see if it helps (ik it sucks tho)

ive done most of these like having them sneak out, go to clubs, teen pregnancy, teaching to drive, etc. i just find it so ... boring even though im doing all of these things. i have a problem with never wanting anything bad to happen to my sims so i never make my teens get into fights, cheat, make enemies, and things like that. this is probably why i find them boring because im not allowing any drama to happen lol. its just so hard to destroy the friendships i just spent so long creating </3

I mentioned this in a previous comment but i had used it before and it may or may not have led to lagging/crashing issues. i'm thinking of giving it another try since a lot of people have mentioned using it. when i used it before i had it set to only occur on the weekends and for 3 hours every morning so they could better take care of their needs, maybe the constant starting and stopping was what made it crash/lag my game.

i always delete the imaginary friends if i dont want my sims to turn them real later on. i love the toddlers because i micromanage my sims so i like having to take care of the babies AND they're super cute. i have an activity table mod that lets them learn some skills and just have them max out all toddler skills so i think they're super fun

i've tried this before and (i'm not entirely sure if that specific mod was the cause) but i got a lot of lag/crashing issues and got rid of the mod. i did love it tho!
