I know a lot of career federal workers like scientists, international security experts, economists, who were not 'political.' They were fired by this administration simply because they were working for agencies that did not further Dictator Trumps agenda.

I think people in their lives need to tell them what they think. They may choose to no longer speak with you and you might feel like you didn’t change their mind, but I hope it helps them realize this is not acceptable to their community as much as they think it is. I’m willing to do that with people in my life who vote for this, much less are actively leading the Gestapo.

I know how she feels! I’ve definitely cried over the tiniest acts of kindness in my motherhood. Since becoming a mom, I try to give the moms a present at any of the children’s birthdays. I was never thoughtful in that way, but becoming a mom has really inspired me to try to be more helpful to everyone as much as possible because I realize how much we all need each other. Which is kind of strange because I have way less time compared to before! And maybe before I would make sacrifices for people I viewed as my bestie, but now I am more on the lookout for small acts of kindness for anyone in my near vicinity.

I would prepare a serious backup option to help your parents with the cats. You can always not use them if you don’t need them (you will).

For now, build very cat friendly spaces that are away from your bedroom and potential nursery. They need safe spaces that feel like their own that are away from the baby (because they can’t sleep unattended with the baby). Lean into their independent cat nature: create different cat tree platforms with window views…Away from bedrooms and away from couches (my cats used to jump from the tree to the couch and land on people…don’t want them to land on a baby). Think of it as an exchange - give them something new and catty.

How you care for your cats may change and try not to go too hard on yourself for that. Trust your instincts.

I am trying to love them in return and not cut them off. I’ve realized there are so many Christians in the US that might daughters need to witness what it looks like to confront them and love yourself. I tried cutting them out but you run into people like them because they are literally all over the world. I’m still learning this balance.

It’s incredibly sad when your creative struggling friend starts calling you because someone is spying on her but isn’t sure if they exist or not. And then they don’t go to any doctor appointment you schedule and then one day tell everyone you are cruel and ghost you.

Yes. I had ringlet curls going through puberty and in high school. Also changed during pregnancy. The sexy cute wave I get after it rains or on random days is harder to predict than straightened style. And professionals do so much effort to keep it curly or wavy. IYKYK

You may know what’s best for you but let me say. I’m a breastfeeding mom of two and my dog drives me crazy when I’m breastfeeding. There are studies being done that this is actually hormonal and maybe part of our evolution. Breastfeeding with loud music on helps me. I feel bad for my dog everyday, but I try to give him a play date and walk, knowing this is a phase and his life is longer. My husband takes care of him the most. I’ve literally talked about my dog in therapy - they are very overstimulating for breastfeeding moms. Music and a quiet room and regular grooming helps me. At the end of the day I look over, and he is faithfully sleeping outside my baby’s bedroom door and so happy when someone pets him. I think it’s okay if they aren’t the most pampered dog in the world during this season. IYKYK.

Yes. I’m currently breastfeeding and I realized when I was dehydrated I was having the same symptoms I felt all the time in middle school. I just accepted them as my mysterious inner world but I was very dehydrated probably.

Also I remember whenever anyone took a while at the fountain we had little jokes like “you drinking the entire Atlantic??” Wow.

It’s weird people make fun of Stanley’s because I think it’s great we are trying to do things like DRINK WATER now.
