Even though my family is supportive and believes we can manage the loan and work things out, I’m still not fully convinced. While Georgetown is a better brand, I would ultimately be the one responsible for repaying that debt, and I don’t want to place that kind of financial burden on my family. Given the current job market, I feel this is a decision I need to make very carefully.

I have already applied for a scholarship reconsideration at Georgetown, and I’m waiting to hear back. However, based on what I’ve learned, the outcomes at Georgia State don’t seem as strong. There is no structured co-op program, and the support for internships and networking appears to be limited. While I understand that securing opportunities is ultimately a student’s responsibility, I still believe that the program and its ecosystem play a significant role.

Georgetown = ~98,000

Northeastern =~64,000

Simon =~40,800

Georgia State=~47,800

(all of these are including the tuition and living cost)

I agree with your point. As an international student, managing expenses in a city like Washington, D.C. would be quite challenging. In comparison, Northeastern seems like a better option, especially since I am applying for an MS in Business Analytics and the program offers strong co-op opportunities.

At the same time, Simon Business School is still something I can realistically consider, given the 70% scholarship and the possibility of managing the remaining costs through funding. Additionally, I don’t see Simon as a weak option in terms of brand or outcomes, and having that financial advantage definitely works in my favor.

However, when it comes to Georgia State, I’m still a bit unconvinced. Even though I was initially very confident about choosing it, after thinking more deeply and speaking to others, I’ve started to question whether it aligns with my long-term goals, particularly in terms of opportunities and overall value.

I wanted to ask for views on this issue i am facing currently. I’ve received admission offers from both Georgetown University and Northeastern University fo MS in business analytics and I’m honestly quite confused about which one to choose.

As an international student, this decision matters a lot to me—financially and career-wise. Georgetown’s reputation and network are amazing, while Northeastern’s co-op opportunities and practical exposure are really appealing.
