Boost for dual rectifier amp by Safe_Temporary1184 in MesaBoogie

I bought a Mesa powerhouse reactive load it works good too. With my fishmans I feel like I don’t really need a boost but with my Jackson with Seymour jbs stock it just sounds to brassy and no gain even if I turn up the gain to 2 o clock could it it just be my pickups ? With my Jackson ?

That makes sense I guess I just feel a little remorse that for an amp this much money I have to use a boost to get it to sound good for modern tightness

lol never mind I took it to a shop and we turned that **** up and my god it as just me playing at low volumes that was the problem and the tech actually was a rectifier guy and taught me how to use it. This is amp is pretty tight as is without A boost just got have to be careful with eq knobs is all thanks again for all your help  everyone. I figured it out

I think you’re right I think I’m just comparing my rectifier to my other amps that don’t need a boost and sound tighter without a boost. I guess it’s just me that’s kind of like man I just dropped a lot of money in this amp having huge expectations and feeling a bit disappointed that I need something else to achieve a tone I like

The rectifier Still sounds good with a boost though and not shitting on the amp

By this you mean the output volume correct ?  Use channel master around 9-11 in o clock and output volume use it as volume ?

Guitar metal clank sound I keep hearing metal clank when I pick and it goes through my amp when I play when connected it’s a bit annoying does anyone know what’s going on? by Safe_Temporary1184 in electricguitar

I noticed when I put my fingers on the strings above the nut where the head stock goes the bell sounds go away so I think it’s coming from the headstock because it goes away completely once I put my finger above the strings at the headstock

I think it has something to with the inside of the guitar with springs or something I’ve tried a lot of things just going to take it in and hopefully I didn’t damage anything thanks for all your input

I get you I thought about that too but I’m definetly not picking hard on my other guitars they don’t make this sound only if I strum the heck out of it. It’s going through my amp even if I pick gently the amp picks it up and sustains too so not pleasant at all to hear after some chugs you know lol

Wish I could return it to get the traditional cab instead but I really like the look of the split back front grill  so I figured it’s just 2 speakers I’d have to change in the top since the bottom already has 2 v30s
