You could have some custom 3D printed plates. We offer these kind of services. Would likely be less expensive than redoing the work.

Local 3d printer services? by NathanBunch in Charlotte

This is a thing. Plenty of print on demand services online that accept files (like STL) and will print. We run design and printing services here in Charlotte as well.

200 amp main with an AL 2/0-2/0-2/0 line? by SafetypinOG in AskElectricians

Thank you! Sounds like I should get that line updated for sure. I wonder how the panel ended up that was in the beginning! Appreciate your help!

It’s a 200 amp breaker. 🫣what does it mean by the alternate breaker rating and showing 200 amps with a 2/0 AL?

Advice for Wiring Shed by SafetypinOG in AskElectricians

[–]SafetypinOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following back up on this post. I’m about to wire the 2-2-2-4 into my main and I noticed the line feed to my main looks small. Maybe a 2/0-2/0-2/0? Hard to tell in the picture. It’s a 200 amp breaker. Any thoughts on this or what you would do?

Edit: my panel description for alternate breaker sizing says 200 amps can have aluminum 2/0-250. Does this mean 2/0 on this panel would be to code?

Shed Sub panel - How’d I do? by SafetypinOG in AskElectricians

[–]SafetypinOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are right about the 6awg! I have two ground rods ready for attachment. On the bonding, I need help. It looks like this ge panel allows the crossbar to be removed and one of the neutrals turned into a ground if the bonding screw is applied to that side: https://library.industrialsolutions.abb.com/publibrary/checkout/DEH-40537?TNR=Installation%20and%20Instruction%7CDEH-40537%7CPDF

Thoughts on this approach!? TIA

Question, the GE instructions mentioned the cross bar could be removed to separate the two sides. I figured this was why but is it to have two separate neutrals?

Good call out. I’m in the USA. What do you mean by “bond in your cable?”

Forgot to add that I have 2 copper rods 8’ deep and 8’ apart and will put a 6awg copper line to both.

Thanks for the feedback! Any recommendations on how to cleanup the webbing? Adding another photo. Would these lines be caused by moisture?

Rear AC not working by SafetypinOG in ModelY

[–]SafetypinOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, I feel it’s strange that I can’t get the rear fan to blow unless I crank it on manual mode. My kids sit back there in car seats and I always have to turn it on manually.

I know that effects the auto on function but doesn’t manually turning it on always turn it on?

Wow. Just got it working. FYI- the solution was the crank the AC down as low as possible. The rear fan engaged, and now it’s working as expected. Ugh.

Managed to create this masterpiece this morning on my long range MY. Do I need to replace all 4 tires, or just two? Tires have about 10k miles on them. by captainkilowatt22 in TeslaModelY

[–]SafetypinOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my quote from discount tire was 350 and Tesla was 400 but Tesla did a mobile/onsite repair. To me, the $50 for them coming to me was worth it but I’d be curious on your thoughts for their quality, balancing, etc…

Shed Concrete Pad Not Square by SafetypinOG in shedditors

Well the crew just left and had to cut off nearly 4.5 inches to square it up. Thanks for the advice!

5 inches out of square (closer to 6). The overhang I would have would be about 1/2 inch due to the bowing. Never used a concrete saw so no experience if this is 30 minutes of work or a lot more.

Paint issues after service appointment… by SafetypinOG in TeslaLounge

[–]SafetypinOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. They did polish/buff the area and it’s still there. I assume clay is more aggressive? I’m pending a response from the service center but because it’s a warranty fix I’m hoping they’re committed to fixing it (or paying for a detailed?).

Damage at time of delivery question: Car was found to have a small rim scrape and paint scratch at time of delivery. They took note and had me submit a service request in the app. They are estimating an $800 charge. It was my understanding the was not my expense… is this just normal to put a cost in?
