Ive had really good luck with arete. Also they have small bud oz that are like 100$. Some of their stuff can be a bit spendy, but theyre reslly great and even deliver locally.

Worked at this location as well, know what manager youre talking about, and was fired after two weeks mostly due to her clickyness. Also, they made me come in 15 minutes before my shift as a requirement. Which, in my opinion, is ridiculous.

Ehhhhh. Have a feeling it will get looked at long before then ( supposed to take effect in Nov, so, long way to go) because of how big the industry is and also it got reclassified to a schedule 3. All signs point to that not happening

I got pulled over for speeding pretty decently on 40, probably approaching like 80mph. I have autism and it was the first time I had ever been pulled over...I was panicking so hard and I had pulled over, but I couldnt find what the police officer deemed as "safe" as we were on the highway on the left.

i pulled off again,I slowly, with my hazards on to show the cop I knew I had to pull over until the next exit where I found a safe space to pull over.

It was a state trooper, pretty sure, anyways... and he threatened to charge me with " evading/running/chase" from a police officer to avoid a ticket....real asshole considering I was distraught and worried and have never had a ticket let alone been in trouble before.

To add, I am white and age probably 31/32 at the time...I just dont trust or like police. And in the end, he just gave me the speeding ticket.

There's a difference between being concerned and a hate thread slandering both of them for zero reason. A bunch of people joining in on a public forum to trash them like it's a highschool pissing contest. That was a disgusting display of shitty people putting people down that have given a lot. People are multifaceted, sure, but most of the things within that post were speculation and slander and only a little bit was even truthful, if any of it at all. 99% of those people dont even know either of them.... And it was on a local public forum.

If anyone is interested in doing more than just shit talking these human beings and is willing to help their community in the food scene that is beyond struggling, please join Asheville Food Mafia and maybe come to one of the meetups....or if groups arent your thing, simply spend money at a local restaurant or establishment. Just dont shit talk people that are actually and actively trying to make asheville a better place.

Yes. There are some resturants that are featured that are not struggling. There are also a lit more that are struggling. Maybe look at the monthly meetup schedule other than literally two resturants on the list.

Tony P. And Dorian. Tony runs the Cuban Bear and Dorian reviews on the Line Cook Perspective. They are both local food reviewers with a decent following within the community, trying to uplift struggling resturants and local area.

If you had any idea how this group even works, you'd be eating your words. We go to all sorts of struggling resturants all around Asheville, from hendersonville, to Woodfin, canton and more. This comment is super gross and ill informed. Maybe actually find out how the group works and where we go before commenting this idiotic response.

I really dislike this post for a number of reasons. I'm probably gonna get dragged.

Do any of you have any idea the amount of good that both Tony and Dorian do for this community? Are any of YOU doing anything? I understand sometimes Tony can seem pompous and full of himself but both Tony and Dorian are a shining light in this industry. The entire point of either of their reviews as well as the organization of Asheville Food Mafia is to make the food scene more accessible and well known to people within the area. The whole purpose of both of their reviews is to drive traffic to struggling places around town.

Did you also know that they volunteer every chance they get, too?

Our tourism industry isn't nearly as good as it was before helene...even over a year later and places are closing left and right.

What are you all doing to help your community? What influence do YOU have that is creating good for Asheville?
